- Campus Infrastructure and architecture, the campus is very pretty and has all amenities a student could need including shops, delivery, laundry, saloon, restaurant!
- Classroom facilities and study resources, the classroom is well equipped and there are so many college provided resources like online notes , class recordings and manuals .
- Places around campus and nice and there is a lot of opportunities for recreation and living college life to maximum
Dislikes
- The weather in manipal , its very hot and hard to adjust if youve not experienced summer this humid and hot before
- Frequency of assignments, there are a lot of assignments for practice and it gets annoyinh
- Some teachers are of the view that student crowd here is not responsible and thus are a little arrogant
Course Curriculum Overview
I feel like the curriculum here is very apt for the upcoming society , in the first year we are to compulsory study subjects of all branches thus we have knowledge about vast areas , their marking scheme is also very good as it is 50% dependent on insem activities and other 50% for the endsem exam. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate , the teachers are also very committed to the subject
Placement Experience
Students in 6-7th sem are allowed to sit in the campus placements and many reputed companies like Goldman sacks , Microsoft come for recruitments , For computer science course the highest package was 54lk pa and the average is around 16lk pa , almost more than 90% of the students get placed , After this degree i would like to get placed from campus
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee for education is around 3,6lk in the first year , also other facilities like hostel and mess cost 1.96lk , after which each year the fee depends on your branch. Also a compulsory charge for books and exams is included in other facilities. In the first two sems , the availability is directly dependent on the GPA scored AND the students rank in their entrance exam , cutoff for the scholarships are branch specific
Campus Life
Campus life is the best here at MIT , its a very sterotypical college life , we have 2 fests per year- where one is technical (techtatva) and other is cultural (revels) . All these events including many other are grand and well planned . There are a LOT of options for extra curricular activity here which includes student projects clubs sports and gym , The facilities in classroom is also good , we have free wifi and ac room , exams are also conducted on epads
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very spacious and has AC with attached bath ,cleaning is done alternate days and any other issue is taken care by the personnels within one day of raising a complaint ticket , Meal quality depends on the mess we choose , there are more than 7 messes we can choose from , the menu is also varied w special items frequently. in the first year thr hostel booking is dependent on your MET ranking and then for further years it's dependent on the cgpa
Admission
The admission process was through a entrance test from the college's side called MET consisting of physics chemistry mathematics and aptitude , it was a 240 mark paper and the cutoff for the top branch was 140(?) ,We could apply on their website and it costed 2000rs , the difficulty level was high as u couldnt revisit a question and there were 6 batches of exam conducted over 3 days. It was an online exam
