Course Curriculum Overview
The MBA course structure that they follow is from 2012 and I think they need to upgrade it a bit in accordance with today's scenario. They need to be more focused on the practical approach of the courses. the theoretical part of the course is good. the frequency of exams is good with ample time to prepare and exam difficulty is moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fee here is very affordable. they charge 98000/- for the 2-year MBA program. and the hostel fee for 1 year is 4500/-. they have a few scholarships for which people can apply. Completing the course will cost you around 1 lakh which is the cheapest in India. The campus has also few opportunities for the financially unstable students. which is 'earn while learn'.
Campus Life
Campus life is very rich as it is a century-old University. so, it has its own legacy. we have multiple clubs like Visvires, kalpavriksha, Management Club etc. We have multiple fests throughout the year. sports fest in October, then ransangram and Unyan in February. The library is one of the largest in India with a wide range of books and journals. we have smart classes and multiple grounds to promote sports. all clubs and groups are run by students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is good. although the rooms are a bit small. they are clean and hygiene is good, the food in the mess is very good. it is almost as if you are eating at home. menu is decided by the students which includes both Veg and non-veg. the hostel is very affordable and in case any wantswant to rent a room or PG. they can go to areas like Hyderabad gate, chitpur and Lanka Gate.
Admission
The admission process was good and pretty smooth. The Entrance exam they consider for MBA is CAT. and the cut-off is 80 percentile. any graduation course is eligible. the website for all the details is www.bhuonline.com and 50% of seats are reserved for B.H.U employees and the rest are according to the standard reservation system. The good exam pattern consists of 3 sessionals and 1 external examination. they can be more technologically advanced with their admission process. their hostel allocation process is very hectic.
Interview Experience
the admission process consists of a GD-PI round. where you have to go through a group discussion and after clearing through that round you go for a personal Interview where a panel of 3 people will take your interview. I prepared for it by reading about topics which are currently trending and brushing up on your basics.
