Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our college NITC is the first institute who adopted New education policy and the course curriculum here is superb and I will say perfect. The courses offered are both branch oriented as well as practical based. As I was interested in civil engineering so I chose this college because here professors will give you in-depth knowledge of your subject and in a proper practical way. The modern curriculum here is totally application based that if you are studying any of subjects of your course later you will get the practical aspect of that and the facilities here are very good and the faculties are also very cooperative and helping in nature . They will help you in finding your interests and the genre you love . A slight change that I would suggest is to not to force too much things to do in the curriculum otherwise all the other things in this new curriculum is brilliant and worth it . The exams here are like other institutions we have two exams in each sem and other internals and tests.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are good you can apply for internship by yourself as well as college also helps to find so . Companies like Microsoft, Accenture and many more of respective branches. Many students got benefits from it and they got a benefit like a 3rd yr student from our college got internship in American express and also poo.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure of government institute are generally affordable and same is here . Tution fee increases as per your year and all the branches in a year have same feeling structure. My fee that I have to pay is nearly 500000 for the complete course which includes all the fee like tuition fees, library fees and other services. Scholarship from central government are available here and State government also provides state scholarship for home state students. Placement are good here and also internship with stipends are available and college helps in such things.

Campus Life

4

Campus life in NITC is quite good , here one can interact with different peoples with different mindset and different backgrounds . If I talk about fests then here two major fests which are biggest fests in South India. First one is Tathva which is biggest technical fest of South India and then Ragam which is biggest cultural fest of South India. Students from different colleges come here and celebrities like Shreya Ghoshal and Neeti Mohan , Jubin Nautiyal have performed here . Now if I talk about library then more than 100000 books are available and thousands of online books of different genres not only study and engineering related. Teachers believe in traditional way of teaching alongwith technology. Sport facilities in our college is extremely superb all indoor and outdoor sports are available here to play . Every year inter nit and inter departmental sports take place and students participate in it with full enthusiasm. Various technical and cultural clubs are here like robotics

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is decent here . For first year 4 students accomodated in a single room and from second year two in a room and in final year 1 room for each person. In room you will get a table with a chair and a bed , the hostel staff is friendly but slightly strict regarding rules. Food quality is decent, it's not so good as it is South India so North Indian students are not that much satisfied with the food quality otherwise South Indian students are chilled with the food also if you are pure vegetarian then pure vegetarian mess is available there . Registration process for hostel is online after your confirmation with Josaa you will get a mail where you have to register for hostel and mess and you have to do all the payments online and then receipt of payment to bring with you during physical reporting and you have to show it to them . I don't have taken any pg I stays in hostel but many students took rooms on rent here .

Admission

I gave jee main exam to take admission in this college after clearing it . I did my councelling process through Josaa and I got the civil engineering branch of NIT Calicut in 6th round also I had a chance to go through CSAB councelling and I would upgrade my branch but I was satisfied with whatever I got . After that physical reporting started just after the CSAB councelling and all the students branch wise invited and you must have all the documents like Class 10th and 12th marksheet and your income certificate , Id proof , medical certificate and your category certificate if you belong to any in case you are general and SC ST then no certificate is required then . If I talk about eligibility of course then you must be the under cutoff area and 50% seats are already reserved for home state students so cutoff for other states students is more . In Nitc they will give you 15 days to arrange if you forgot or if you don't have any certificate which was quite good. Everything was good here

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
