Remarks

The college has the best infrastructure and the location. The placement percentage has dropped down to average. Though overall I would suggest it to be a great college, with so much to learn and improve in yourself. You would see yourself to be a better person after spending 4 years in this college.

Entrance Preview

I opted to study my Bachelors from Jaypee University because of its high placement percentage and beautiful location. It was considered to be in top 50 private colleges in India to do BTech from. Also because it was near my hometown, so that added on to its advantage.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is quite well defined. I studied Electronics and Communication and the course included all the subjects required for an EC Engineer. Also, there was a separate personality development course every semester. The fourth year was completely based on the research and project and you can even choose the electives of your choice.

Internships Opportunities

Internship programmes are provided by the top MNC's like Wipro, Infosys etc to the students who are placed in them. Internship programmes are provided to CSE/it students only under these companies. Also, you can opt for student exchange programmes provided by the college to the 8th-semester students to study abroad for the final semester. This programme is highly helpful if you want to pursue Masters in Science after your graduation.

Placement Experience

4

A high percentage of placements for CSE/IT branch. There is 2 company policy which means a student can get placed in not more than two companies. This is an advantage to other students as each student will get an equal opportunity to sit for the placements if his CGPA suffice.

College Events

3.5

There are several events celebrated in the during which includes: FRESHER party- Cultural night((includes different dance forms from various dance groups formed under Jaypee Youth Club(JYC), Mr. and Miss Freshers ramp walk, dramas and plays) and DJ night. Sports Fest-3 day open event and any college can participate.Various colleges compete in different games. Civil Fest- 2 day event with cultural and DJ night Technical Fest- 2 day event with a cultural night. Cultural Fest-3 day event, open fest with cultural night ,star night and DJ nights on all 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say that the fee structure was a little expensive as compared to the other private colleges with similar standards and infrastructure. The fee structure was around 2.5 lacs a year which includes the academic fee, hostel and mess fee and laundry charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no as such loan/scholarship facilities. Scholarships programmes CAN BE offered to the students with high academic performance and poor financial background.

Campus Life

4

The college has the best social life with a decent gender ratio(almost about 50%) and you can meet people from almost every corner of India.Y ou have the great exposure to visiting Shimla and other hill stations around every weekend. Since there is not much to roam around out of the campus, but you surely have the kiosks inside the campus where you can get all types of cuisines. When you talk about extracurricular activities, the college has it all. You can get the opportunities to showcase your talent in dance, singing, drama, sports, accademics etc .. This include-MUN,Jaypee Youth Parliament, etc. The college also organizes TED events by the talented speakers from India. If you are a technical person, the technical fest is for you. You can participate in the various events during the fest and can even get the chance to win the prize money.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are clean and spacious with all the facilities available and the room is shared by two students . You can also opt for a separate single room by paying an additional fee. Access to the internet is 1gb/day. The quality of mess food is much better as compared to the food served in other colleges. The is oil free and above average.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is well appreciable as there is a separate alumni committee. The seniors are quite helpful in every way-be it academics or extracurriculars.

Exam Structure

It has a basic and decent exam structure based on what is taught during lectures. There are three tests during a semester which can be stressful for students. Though I am not very much satisfied with the exam structure as the concentration is only on the book related information.

Admission

I got admission based on my CBSE and JEE Mains ranking. Interested candidates can apply by filling up the application form either online or purchasing it in person. There is a certain application fee which is to be paid either in cash or demand draft.

Faculty

3.5

One of the most important parts of any institution. If you compare with top institutions in this country, then our college faculty is not that great. But there are highly experienced and qualified professors in every department. They were very kind and helpful in every way. They are great to guide you even after your lectures.

Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placement but you can apply off-campus if you want. A lot of times off-campus placements are of better amount than on campus placements. Almost out of 400 students present in a year, 100 get very good on campus placements.(Almost above 10 lakhs) 100 get between 5-10 lakhs And rest ho for higher degrees although they get a placement of 4-5 lakhs
