Course Curriculum Overview
It's fun. MBA is more challenging and more time rewarded course. You feel like having a good considerable amount of time which you don't usually have while pursuing the course. It has a lot of relevance and comprehensiveness when looked from that pov.
Internships Opportunities
There were a lot of internship Opportunities from Big MNCs based on different types of specialisations. Companies involves Cisco, Big4s, Marsh, Gartner, etc. good wide range of opportunities to explore. It was a good experience.
Placement Experience
Placements were decent this year. We had an average of around 13-14 Lakhs per annum which seems to be considerable increase from the last year. 650 students out of 700 are placed till now. And, the rest 50 will also get placed by the time year ends.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure - 1963,000 tuition fees and hostel fees are different if you want it, sums up to 350,000 in two year period. Scholarship availability - YES Campus Employment Opportunities - YES Financial Assistance - Yes, education loan are being given for KJ Somaiya Students.
Campus Life
When you talk about campus being lush green, K J Somaiya is literally one of the lush green campuses in India. Very beautiful. A lot of Ad shoots and movie scenes are being shot here since the level of infrastructure is at its best.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is decent. They provide a catering companies mess food and proper timings are followed there. The biggest trouble is the non AC accomodation in the hostel and it really reflects the level of sleep one gets during Summers or days when there are a lot of mosquitos.
Admission
I liked the whole admission process. The cut off eligibility set by K J Somaiya was 70 percentile via XAT and 224 via NMAT and I had a score of 95.52 in XAT and 240 in NMAT which was within the range they wanted so I was able to clear the CAPI easily.
Interview Experience
No, I didn't face any Group Discussion during the process. There was Case Analysis followed by Personal Interview, that is CAPI and that's how the whole process was conducted. There was no written test, either.
Other Applied Colleges
IMT - Institute of Management Technology | Post Graduate Diploma in Management [PGDM]
