Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is well structured to be honest. It is kind of similar to that of computer engineering and IT students but the inclusion of Ai and ML is done well. And labs are also there to get hands on practices so no worries for that. Although some labs lack real world implementation aspects so they should be considered for a change. And yes the exams, aah they are really a pain. I mean many times it will happen like you just gave one exam then another will come so soon so you just don't enough time to work on yourself. Although we're engineers so we can manage!

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies come for internship in third year of college and they provide good salary as well. Although most of the companies are preferring girl candidates these days but boys are getting good offers too. There have been companies which are providing 25k internship with 10lpa packages and are really good such as Cummins India, comvvalt, bmc, etc. most of the offers are for software engineering roles where there are rounds such as aptitude round, coding round and then interview round.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for general candidates are 1,40,000 rs to be precise. And for OBC it is 80k and for my SC category it is around 5k. This is the fee including all the services and tutions fees. Although you need to pay extra 1.5k for the exams registration and all. I avail freeship scholarship provided by the government and there are many scholarships available for others too. There are various clubs in the college which you can join to get industrial kind of experience as there is alot of good work happening over there although they don't pay and there is no as such employment provided by college for now.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life feels so chill. Everyone is so happening although the college doesn't play any role in that. This College is just like a school where you need to wear uniform everyday except that one off day(Wednesday) but i do like it coz then I do not need to choose everyday what I need to wear but others may not like that. And college life is all about exploring ourselves and enjoying with friends which I feel is pretty decent environment in this college. Other activities such as sports and arts are also there which are good if you have talent and they encourage students to participate in that. There are many clubs and social societies which you can join to enhance your skills and be a better version of yourself.

Hostel Facilities

4

I availed the hostel facility for two years i.e in my first and second year of my college. In first year there was a old boys hostel which is demolished now and they have built a new hostel where I have stayed too. New one is just like a hotel where you are provided will all facilities you can ask for even you get an AC in your room and regular cleaning is done for room and washroom too. In old hostel there was one common area for washroom for one floor but here every room has a separate one. Three people can stay in a room and tables, chairs and bed pillows and bed sheets are also provided. Gym is under construction for now might open later on. Locality is also good you can rent a 2 bhk flat for around 5k per month including electricity and water which is pretty decent considering the locality and nearness from college. Mess food is average although sometimes they provide good food but it's still average. Breakfast is nice though! Registration process is simple.

Admission

Admission process was through mhtcet portal. And cut-off for this College of my branch was around 95 at that time now it has rise over to 98 for open. I had secured a reservation seat for SC category so I got admission at 94 percentile. There was MHTCET exam that I gave through which i got allotment for this College. The exam is simple though one needs to work on their speed and accuracy as there is time constraint in the exam so one should prepare accordingly.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
