Review of VIT, Pune

I chose Artificial Intelligence and Data Science because it has bright future and high salaried jobs are available in this field. Curriculum covers whole basic part to become a part of the technical world. For real world applications theory part is not that suitable, but the last semester of internship and projects every semester helps in becoming part of the industry. It is more suitable for further academic pursuits. There is exam at the end of every semester it includes seminars, project presentation, theory papers, online mcq exams, lab exams and viva. Difficulty level is medium. I would like it if instead of taking exam this long in different forms like seminars, viva they make it short. And also instead of dedicating only one sem for internship they should give more time for the internship. Overall I would rate the course curriculum 5/10.

There are summer internships we can apply from first year. Full semester internship is available for 4th year only and it is compulsory. College conducts internship interviews for students. Projects during semester also helps in getting internships.

From 6th semester interviews are started at the college. There are 200+ companies available for placement through the college. CS branch recieves highest package. About 70 to 80 percent sutdents get placement through college.

Honestly I think fees is little too high for the course. For open class tution fees is about 1600000, development fees is about 24000, then there also includes exam fees, University fees and eligibility fees, total fees is about 1,92,000. There are government scholarships to support the fees like mahadbt aslo there are many private scholarship available.

Campus life is fun only if you take part in fests, compititions. Having friends definitely makes college more fun. It is important to have connections with seniors, participating in different club events helps. Library of the campus is small but resourceful.

Hostel has 2, 3, and 4 seater rooms. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided with good food quality. There is no need for pre registration. Fees is collected monthly, amount being 8000 which is affordable. It is private hostel and is located 3 kms from college.

The addmission process was online and only document submission was offline. It is simple and effecient process. I gave MH-CET where I scored 96.65 percentile. Eligibility of the course is according to the percentile you score in CET/ JEE MAINS, it will also decide the college you get. To apply for CET you have to submit online form provided on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org . On the given website you will also get the exam dates, admit card, CAP rounds dates and results.
