Course Curriculum Overview

I had an interest in computer science engineering from the day I chose MPC as my main subjects . The coding culture is very good in Bits pilani . We have mid semester exams and quizzes . The final exam is called Comprehensive examination.

Class Size: 234Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee for our semester is 2.5 lakhs and total goes to nearly 6 lakhs which increases by ten percent every year . We have scholarship for students whose family income is quite low There are two types of Scholarship namely Merit cum need and Merit scholarship.

Campus Life

There are three fests namely Bits Open Sports Meet (BOSM) , Oasis the annual cultural fest, apogee the technical fest . The night life is quite good at the bits and the hostels are well maintained. The campus is spread across 500 acres .

Admission

Birla institute of technology and sciences aptitude test takes place before and after the advance examination. The process goes smoothly and the college they allot for writing the exams is also good and neat The exam is medium difficulty

College review-the reality

Placement Experience:

The placements cell try their best to get as many students placed as they can.many companies visit us including celebal, tcs and I don't know about the percentage but it's pretty good not everyone will get the placement but yes who have time to their studies will definitely get one.the average package is around 5lakh per anum ctc it can go upto 25 to 30.lakh based on your knowledge entirely

A complete average College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

The curriculum here is inspired from IIT Kanpur and IIIT Hyderabad but most of the courses aree not relevant today like in today's world C language is outdated but they always teach everything in C and in ECE branch the courses are considered to be the toughest and maximize of them are not relevant today.

Placements at MIT are excellent and begin in the seventh semester. Our college attracts top tier companies and for the 2024 graduating batch. Major recruiters included Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Adobe, and Samsung. The placement statistics are very strong with the highest package being 52.28 lakhs per annum, the average package Being 14.5 lakhs per annum with over 95 percentage of students participating in the placement process My personal plan after getting my degree to join a leading tech firm as a software development engineer, I want to gain a few years of industry experience to apply the practical skills. Life at LNMIIT

Placement Experience:

from 5th sem onwards student becomes eligible for placements. many companies like google , microsoft , amd , samsung , amazon , adobe , oyo , flipkart , bny mellon ,zs , de shaw , jp morgan and so many offeres were given by them. higest pack was 1.2 cr and avg package is 13 lakh. 90%+ students get places every year on campus and rest goes for further studies or for father's business. my plans after getting the degree is to join a good mnc.

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process.
