The real VSSUT

The curriculum is somehow outdated and it doesn't provide students onsite practical experiences. But it is enough for qualifying for any competitive examinations for higher studies in engineering. The exams are very frequent here with an exam a month.

Internship opportunities for first year students are not available whereas a student can find intership by himself/herself. Though second year students are allowed to apply for interships provided by the college.

The placements are good for non-IT core branches as very less IT companies are coming to hire students. About 50 percent of eligible students get placed every year. The average package is nearly four lakhs per annum and the highest package stands at 17 lpa.

The total fees of four years of engineering is in between five to six lakhs which is very reasonable compared to other private tier -3 colleges. Campus placements of non-IT core branches are better than IT branches.

The infrastructure of the college needs maintenance and development where as ours is a lush green campus. The clubs are the best part of our college which provides us outlook starting from literature club to robotics club and entrepreneurship club, from non-tech to tech clubs, VSSUT has a very vibrant and active club history.

There are enough hostels to accommodate all the students of our college. Hostels are quite good. The food quality of the first year girls hostel is quite good. The meals are prepared with proper hygiene. There are time restrictions for the first year students to return to hostel before 6 pm.

VSSUT accepts admission through OJEE counselling. OJEE counselling is done on the basis of JEE mains mark and OJEE mark. If someone belongs to SC/ST category or if the 10th and 12th schooling is done from an Odisha government school, then the candidate gets some reservation benefits and can get into branches like CSE, IT or ETC with low rank.
