Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Well the first two years of the course helps you to build the foundation of studying law! You get subjects like sociology which helps you to understand the fundamentals of the society then we have logic which helps us understand the formation and the proper manner of putting the arguments. After second year you actually get to study the legal subjects like IPC,CRPC,family law etc.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college does not have a fixed attendance requirement so students can or could intern. As a student the first internship is really helpful to understand the workings of the court system and also we get to learn about the drafting of the case files and how to argue in the court

Placement Experience

4.5

The college has a placement committee to look after the placement of the students. For the students upto 4th year, the placement committee keeps the students updated about all the internship opportunities that we could get.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government Law college allows you to study law with the least amount of fees compared to other law schools. As a SC candidate I pay Rs.420 per annum and the fees for open category is somewhere around 12000 which is again very less compared to other law schools

Campus Life

4

The college campus is not up to the mark, the infrastructure is still good enough. As per social aspects of the college, the GLC has around 22 committees and each committee serves a different purpose. It has the moot court association, the model united nation committee, the debate society, the cultural committee, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college doesn't provide any hostel or any accommodation facilities. It does have a hostel right beside the college campus but it is difficult to secure a seat over there. I belong to a defence background so currently I live in Army boys hostel which is in Thane.

Admission

The admission process was quite easy, you just have to upload all the required documents on the CET cells site and then you just have to get it verified by the colleges administration by presenting all the hard copy of the documents with their xerox copies.

The placements in college is moderate. Some students from BALLB grab high packages like 15-20 lakhs, but these are exceptions. Normally students have on average 8-10 lakhs mostly in law firms and banks

Trilegal, JSA, AZB, Tatva Legal and various other law firms from Mumbai itself offers us jobs worth 10 to 20 lakhs. In a cours where only a few colleges have placements ours is one of those. It has tie-ups with many lawyers and firms whichbare into litigation or arbitration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course 8/10 aa course is highly good for me and i chose this field because of the respect it have our curriculum is good only as first 2 years we have BLS subjects then we have law subjects after that. As it is an integrated course it surely serves the purpose and makes you ready for real-life field only but as we have 75-25 pattern it gets hard to write that much in the examination in that much hour also we have to prepare for internals alot then assignment costs alot of time and make the whole study schedule hectic
