Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is the main USP of this course. As this course's name is Master's of human resource development,it is well suited for the changing environment.Today we are living in a BANI world which is brittle, anxious ,nonlinear and incomprehensible. So in this changing environment human resource professionals play a very crucial role in being a change maker. This course is a new course catering to the need of present situation where change management is the need of an hour. This course includes all the HR related main subjects like compensation and benefits, labour laws, perspective management , International HRM , employee engagement and taxation laws etc. In this new age data is the new oil, and data driven approach is truly required for the present times. To build this approach in students, this course has HR analytics as a subject. Another USPs of this course are the visiting industrial experts as the faculty members and regular yoga and meditation sessions.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies have came for the internships i.e HDFC,BASF,NPCI , PIRAMAL group,ABG,Ramsens etc. Different types of roles related to the HR field are offered like compensation and benefits, labour relations,HR analytics,HRBP(human resource business partner) etc.
Placement Experience
After completing the second semester and doing their summer internships students are eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited last year like Mercer,Aon,Sodexo,Mahindra and Mahindra ,Vedanta,HDFC and Capgemini etc. Various roles in the human resource domain like management trainee, learning and development, compensation and benefits were offered. There is 100 percent placement of the college. Highest placement is of 26 lakhs per annum and the average is of around 1800000 lakhs per annum approximately. My plan after getting the degree will be to join a reputed firm as an HR professional with a good salary package and role.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee of this course is 7,00,000 rupees which is way more lesser than the other top business schools. Also the college provides on campus placement opportunities where the highest package of the previous batch is 26 lakhs/annum.So this results in very high ROI.
Campus Life
My overall experience till now is very good.I am really enjoying my college life and learning from the new experiences.Peer to peer learning is very great in the college as there are students from the diverse backgrounds. Library is like second home for me.There are a lot of varieties of books in the Library and the staff is also very good.Differemt types of journals are also there form which students can enrich themselves. There are many clubs in the college and I'm participating in various events organised by them. Also we have guest lecturers in the campus where experts form industry come and share their knowledge.
Hostel Facilities
One of the best facilities provided to the students is the hostel facility I have my hostel located in the prime location of South Bombay with a very good infrastructure. Quality of space , infrastructure, mess facilities and sanitation is very appreciable. Registration process is very smooth and less time taking. Staff and guards of the hostel are very supportive and caring.
Admission
Admission process was quiet smooth.I got the information from the YouTube and Instagram about the notification. The public relations team of JBIMS MHRD has done a wonderful job regarding the timely and attractive notification post of the course. Candidates were shortlisted on the basis of their CAT,CET and JBIMS entrance test score. This helped in attracting the candidates from diversified domains. After shortlisting I got a mail regarding all the details of the group discussion and personal interview round. At the time of GP/PI ,all the processes were conducted in a very smooth manner by the college admin staff. Candidates were alloted proper panels for GD and interview.Even the interviewers were very warm and supportive. Overall the whole process was good.
Interview Experience
Yes I have faced all the three,i.e I have given the JBIMS entrance test ,written ability test(sop writing), group discussion and the personal interview. Topics for the group discussion were women empowerment, role of diversity, inclusion and equity in present times and role of social media. All the topics were quiet relevant. Process was very smooth and the other criterias for admission are CAT,CET scores. I have prepared for these exams by enrolling myself in the online coaching and by self study. Reading newspapers for preperation of gd/pi has also helped.
Other Applied Colleges
TISS Tata Institute of Social Sciences | Master of Arts [MA] (Human Resource Management)
I got two marks less in the final interview stage ,so didn't able to convert it.
