What Students Say
Likes
- 1) The college provided several cerifications and courses apart from the main course which benefits in making the CV stronger
- 2) The college took students to various industrial visits which helped us to gain practical indepth real life experience of how organisations work
- 3) The college provided monthly workshops which helped students to gain extra knowledge of the outer world
Dislikes
- 1) The faculty teachers are very irresponsible and non co-operative and are least interested in solving students queries
- 2) The placements were a scam as during admission the average annual packages were promised to be 6lakhs per annum and above , but during placements the packages were hardly above 4lpa
- 3) The overall development of the college is poor where the classrooms are small and lights don't work along with the fans and also lacks in modern day technology
Course Curriculum Overview
1) the course is similar for all colleges as marketing , finance , hr is available in every college but asm's ibmr hardly teaches anything about the outside world rather than only bookish languages . 2) the curriculum doesn't preparea the students at all for real world as the teachers are only interested in repeating lines on the book and teaching only course curriculum and nothing related to real life 3) teachers need to improve in their way of making students understand about the courses in a much better manner rather than only bookish language and need to communicate in a better way and understand a students perspective rather than only sticking to a certain prerequisite way of looking into things 4) the frequency and timing of the exams is unlikely and untimingly as semesters are meant to take place in qauterly manner while in this college exams happen every 3 months later .
Internships Opportunities
1) the college only provided amul as a internship for the students and the role was to carry amul banner in their hand and stand in the corner of the road with a amul product that is it 2) I didn't find it any helpful to get internship from college so I opted for it from my hometown which 95% of the students actually did
Placement Experience
1) students become eligible for placements just after they complete their second semester examinations 2) only local companies visited to our colleges such as per Pooja, weblink services etc which were very small scale local organisations offering very poor packages to the students 3) the average package that my batch got was 2.lakhs per annum and the highest was 6 lpa where before admission the college claimed the average packages to be 6lpa and Highest to be above 10lpa 4) the percentage of students getting placed is not more than 10-15% 5)my plans after getting the degree is to look for better companies outside my college because my college hasn't been helpful in terms of placements in any manner .
Fees and Financial Aid
1) tution fees are unlikely as their are 2 parts for MBA in this college ! One is regular MBA and one is premium MBA where the college takes extra 2 lakhs for premium MBA but doesn't provide anything extra for the premium students other than 2 3 courses which one can buy free from anywhere 2) the complete cost of my course turned out to be above 5.5lakhs which is a lot compared to what the college is providing to the students 3) Scholarships are provided only to the state people and not outsiders irrespective of their income 4) campus employment is the worse where not a single MNC arrived to recruit students , and the college itself hardly brought any companies which provided anything more than 4lpa
Campus Life
1) we as students only had freshers and dandiya night in the span of 2 years in this college that's it 2) accessibility of books are mediocre as there are average number of books one can look out for rageding their courses . 3)there are no technologies inside classrooms other than basic technology that is lights and fans . 4) there are no sports activities available but extracurricular activities includes inter college competition in other colleges , workshops etc 5)there are no social groups , clubs in asm Ibmr
Hostel Facilities
1) I didn't opt for hostel because I found the hostel to be very poorly maintained and space was very less 2) meal quality in the canteen is below average 3) hostel affordability according to what they are providing is comparatively high as the hostel doesn't provide food for the students other than accomodation that's it 4) I rented a one room kitchen room 5 kms away from my college as the locality around my college was very poorly rated and I didn't find that appropriate enough for living
Admission
1) admission process was simple where u just need to have 50% in your 12th examinations and helps better if u gave any competitive exams such as Mat or Cat 2) u don't need to find application! One can Google the college faculty number and contact directly with them and the rest the admission faculty will guide them 3) reservation benefits are there likes scholarships for scheduled castes , and scheduled tribes 4) timings of exams are poor as exams happens in qauterly basis but in this college exams happen every 3 months. 5) in admission process college should provide real and not fake prospect about the college
Faculty
1) the faculty to student ratio is high in terms of students where students are high in numbers and teachers are less. There are courses which college provide for, but the college doesn't even have faculry for those courses and classes don't take place 2) few faculty members are highly educated having PhD degrees as well as high speaking skills , but most of the teacher's credentials are high doubtable as they can hardly interact with students amr explain only in bookish languages 3) interaction level with the teachers are unfortunately very less where if u ask a query for more than once , the teacher gets irritated and completely ignores your problem. 4) teachers are least interested in matters related to student where they only visit classes that also on irregular basis and are least interested in completing the syllabus .
Interview Experience
1) there were no gd or written test ! I got direct admission just by showing my mat results and 12th examinations marksheet 2) the process and criteria for admission is quite simple where one just needs to have 50% above in 12th that's it 3) I didn't have to prepare for anything as my admission was direct
