Remarks
Overall the college is very good. Management takes care of the students.
Entrance Preview
This was the best engineering college in my locality. There were other colleges but I didn't get enough marks to secure a seat in them. This has the brilliant infrastructure and the labs are very well equipped. The only thing bothering me was the fees of the college but instead of going somewhere far and paying for rent this was a better option.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very updated. Mechatronics branch is only available in this college in the whole of Mumbai and it includes subjects of Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Science. Around 1-2 subjects are from Mechanical and rest from Electronics and CS every sem.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. The college does provide internships but they are paid as in you'll have to pay to join the internship. Example L&T internship at Madh plant.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are the highlights of the college. I got placed before graduating even with below average marks. If you are a topper or constantly score well you can expect some good job opportunities your way, even international. Record placement was 38LPA by Rakuten and 6 students were placed which was the highest in Mumbai colleges.
College Events
Sattva is the annual cultural festival and there is also a Techfest. Events keep happening all around the year. There are plenty of groups and committees to join and plenty of extracurricular activities more than I have ever seen in any college. Your social life will not be like a regular mechanical engineer.
Fee Structure And Facilities
One con of the college is that the fee is very high. It's around 2.8 Lakhs per year for BTech and one lakh more for MacTech. If you're ready to spend that much go ahead. Worth it or not its subject. But my experience was very good. You have the option to pay in installments.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't really know of any loan or scholarship facilities. I don't think they have scholarships to offer or ever heard of it from anyone.
Campus Life
Campus life is sorted. You'll have a chill life at MPSTME. Labs are well equipped, there is a sports committee, and sports room which has table tennis and carrom and chess. Debates and workshops are going on throughout the year because of the number of committees in the college.
Hostel Facilities
Mess food and canteen is probably the best in any engineering college. The food is very hygenic and cheap according to Juhu rates. There are separate girls and boys hostels. The boy's hostel is very clean and inside the campus. There are certain deadlines for the hostels and fee is expensive.
Alumni/Alumna
don't really know any famous alumni. The senior students have got placed well and most of them have gone abroad for masters.
Exam Structure
There are three unit tests out of which best of two are considered. This gives the student a chance to breathe as he'll have one more chance and helps the toppers to improve their score. Exam distribution for my batch was 60 external- 40 internal. Now it's 70-30.
Admission
I had done a diploma in mechanical engineering and was directly admitted to second year in this course. A merit list is prepared considering the final year diploma marks. If you have above 80% you can opt for MBATech. I had 73 and I easily got admission in Btech Mechatronics.
Faculty
Faculty reviews are mixed. Like any college, there are some very very good faculties and will help you out with everything and be there for you. There are some exceptions who will give you very less internals and make it difficult for you to pass. Overall experience is good.
