Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum of economics honors is very advance level. It provide you the knowledge of development, finance, banking, business, and international affairs from basic to very advance level. After completing this course, one can can say that I don't know about the the economics and financial system of India and at world level. There is a very special society called Economics Society. In this society there is a special Professor to guide and give support to students.

Internships Opportunities

5

I got the opportunity to get an internship at Zara but I took an internship at Dream icon internship with chef Ajay Chopra through the Internshala platform. In this internship, there was a personal interaction with celebrity Ajay Chopra. The internship was about the restaurant consultancy business in India and how to open a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) in India like America and European countries. The second internship I got was in Earth 5R. I got this internship was also from internshala. In this internship I was a volunteer as a social service of clean environment and safe environment. The theme of this internship was One Act of Kindness. Through both the internship I got immense knowledge of business and social service. They provide me the participants certificate and appreciate my work as an intern. I also got knowledge of corporate work experience and got job opportunity but I didn't accept the offer because I want to get admission in MBA program.

Placement Experience

5

FIMT provide training and guidance about interview and jobs to their students from 1st semester of the course. But the eligibility of student to sit in campus placement is starts from 5th semester onwards. The compnaies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and other corporate situated in gurugram came in the college for campus placement. The average package of FIMT students got through campus placement is about 3.5 lakh per annum. The highest package of FIMT student got is about 9 lakh per annun. The percent and attendance of student is very important to sit in campus placement. The student need to know that the minimum percent in campus placement is 85% and the minimum attendance is abou 75%. My plan after the degree is to get admission in MBA college. In which I will get better career opportunities in future.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees of Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology was rupees 75000. I paid 75000 during my batch of 2020 to 2023. The tution fees increasd policy of FIMT is very nominal. They only increased 2000 rupees every year. They also provide the lenient way to submit he fee. You can submit your course fees in installment. The complete cost of education of B.A. Economics Honors for 2020 to 2023 batch students was 2,60,000 rupees in which the 40,000 rupees was university fees and remaining was college/institution fee. The best part of FIMT is that they provide you the scholarship opportunity to their students and mostly they tell students which type of government scholarship is available and that help their students to got that scholarship by providing necessary documents and give approvals from their side. Campus provide internship opportunities during vacation in the company like Zara, and ICICI bank. Campus provide placement opportunities and also organise events.

Campus Life

5

FIMT organises fest and festivals celebrations in the campus and sometimes they also book farmhouse near the college for such events. Freshers party, Dewali Fest, Farewell Party and Annual Cultural Fest. These are the major festival that FIMT organises. There are three building in the campus and each campus have its own library. The library have wide range of books and journals. The director of FIMT wrote a book and published through the help of college library professor. The college is promoting digital india. It provides the opportunity to submit the assignment online through student portal amd provide all necessary details on student portal like notes and exam papers. There is special room for gym and indoor activities. Students can refresh their mind after a boring lecture in the activity room and also in gym.

Admission

After completing my 12th Commerce with maths. I filled the entrance exam form of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University feom their website. I choose B.A. Economics Honors for my career. After giving the entrance exam. I got Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology to persue my graduation in economics honors. The college is fees is same as compared to others colleges like JIMS and VIPS for economics honors course. The college have 10 different society and my favorite was Economics Society. I got 1st position in every event or competition in economics society. The economics course head of department was very supportive and give guidance regarding trending internship opportunities and course.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent, not extraordinary. The average package is around 4.5-5 LPA, and the highest is around 21LPA. Students become eligible during their final year. The companies that have visited are EY, Wipro, DE Shaw & Co., Deloitte, etc. Decent number of students don't sit for placements or choose higher studies instead. As for me, I plan to do an MBA after graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
