- The sports facilities of the college , like as I'm the part of athletics the coach sir is very friendly and helps us wherever needed.
- The college has a great skills foundation known as AKGEC Skills , which provides industrial training skills.
- The faculties are very helpful they teach very well have great study material.
Dislikes
- The college has no cultural fests and no cultural events.
- The academic pressure on the students is very high.
- The attendance policy is not even a bit flexible you have to maintain it to 75% even if you are a 4th year student.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well Regarding the college, examinations occur frequently within 4-5 month semesters, including 2 sessional tests, 2 class tests, and multiple assignments. The college boasts excellent research and development facilities, along with its own foundation AKGEC skills, providing students with current industrial skills requirements. There are no fests in the college.
Placement Experience
Very few placement opportunities are there in the college it is hard to get a good placement. Some mass recruiter companies like Accenture, Capgemini,TCS have visited the college and placed around 300 students offering the CTC around 3-4 LPA. Although the placement percentage is more than 90%
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees is not increasing that much till the college is under AKTU . AKGEC is soon going to become a private university then the fees Is definitely going to be increased. The campus placement is not as expected it can get better in future but as of now it is not worth the hype. There are no NOC given for the internships hence you have to manage internships with the college.
Campus Life
There are no cultural fests organised in the college. There are dramatics society in the college but yet they are only given one chance to go outside the college and perform. There are some sports events in the college like FIT INDIA Week , Annual Table Tennis meet . There are some cultural societies like Goonj for Dramatics, Verve for Fashion , Taal for dance , Renaissance for social cum ethics. The labs are very great in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room for first year is not even plastered, there is no AC . The water quality is very poor , internet hardly works inside the hostel and very poor wifi and ethernet is provided . Many students have complained about these problems but no one cares. The meal quality is okay but not good. The hostel has a seperate canteen which serves Maggie , burger , rolls , chips , cold drink etc.
Admission
Eligibility for the course requires obtaining a cumulative score of more than 60% in the board examinations. Admission can be pursued through two modes: UPTAC counseling and Management Quota (Direct Admission). For direct admission, candidates are required to visit the college and undergo two Personal Interviews (PI), one conducted by the Dean (S.L Kapoor) and the second by the Director General (Dr R.K Agarwal). Additionally, there will be a Computer-based Test (CBT) between the two PI sessions covering subjects like physics, chemistry, and maths. For admission through counseling, candidates must first appear for the JEE Mains examination and then participate in the UPTAC counseling process. The fees for both admission processes remain the same. In the counseling, the cutoff for the CSE branch is the highest, followed by CSE Specialization branches like CSE-AIML, CSE-DS, IT, CS, CS-IT, CSE(Hindi), AI-ML For Direct Admission process one need to have a good academic score to get CSE
Interview Experience
For direct admission, candidates are required to visit the college and undergo two Personal Interviews (PI), one conducted by the Dean (S.L Kapoor) and the second by the Director General (Dr R.K Agarwal). Additionally, there will be a Computer-based Test (CBT) between the two PI sessions covering subjects like physics, chemistry, and maths. For preparation one just need to practice an intro about himself for the PI and prepare physics, chemistry and maths questions for the test. One just need to have a good academic score to get into the college.
