Course Curriculum Overview

3

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the outcome of the overall course,is beneficial. The curriculum prepration is good for real world application , but requires improvement of more practical knowledge rather then being mostly theoretical. Teaching methods requires more of visualisation of the topic rather then theoretical display of the topic. The difficulty level is high and exams are rather frequent. The students are burdened with assignments and and finishing lab journals , therefore managing time in college is crucial.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship are offered by many companies , but sometimes due to rescion of financial condition in a current year or ignoreance of department cause failing in internships. The companies such as TATA , LNT Nuvco, Maruti Suzuki, TATA MOTORS , and other companies, etc . The projects and outcomes of internship is provided in various fields of courses, sometimes are available in good number but sometimes doesn't have good companies coming for recruitment.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is quite high , not having a good ROI overall . The tution fee increase policy is sometimes not understandable . The 2nd semester fees must me less then the 1st semester since it includes extra fees in form of admission fees . 20000 increment is seen as we move from one year to another. The complete cost of education is nearly 16,00,000 in total.Service fees are charged according to the college. These are sometimes unjustifiable. The financial aid by the college is less , only if you are at the top merit list of the college ( very high CGPA ), you can apply for G.P BIRLA scholarship. Campus employment I have taken in college is attending for physical training and games . Other options are NSS , CREATIVE ARTS , NCC.

Campus Life

3

The names of annual fest is BITOTSAV ( March) and some tech fests includ. PANTHEON etc. The range and accessibility of books is in good but lacks newer edition of books. The facilities and technology provisions are according to fulfilling the course outcome but lacks maintaince . The facilities and technological provisions given are projector in classroom.the classrooms are not that comfortable having plastic benches. An overview of sports and extracurricular activities have a wide opportunity but the college lacks intrest in funding students for sporting events . The college doesn't properly maintains it's fields and courts as per the funds received. Clubs are many , clubs are available related to all fields dance , photography, videography, sports , music etc

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is available but quite does not have more accomodation, the college have a problem of over admision , more then it can accommodate, as most students are not more the city of the college. Review of meal quality , hostel has a variety of foods but lacks quality, often receiving uncooked or overcooked meal with often tasting too bland or over spcied up . Menu is not up the mark . Registration proces for hostel is direct and just requires admision details and course details. The locality can be near BIT MORE or Rodhiya area which are quite near the college.

Admission

The admission process was in online mode along with an offline physical verification. Eligibility of the course required to clear cut-off marks in JEE MAINS . The application form was not available directly but through counselling because , admision took place with the Josha counselling. Details of reservation benifit ,is that you can get a slightly better course. The difficulty level is quite high , and exams and quizzes are frequently conducted . The admission process was quite hectic due to lot of students and less staff members for physical verification of documents . Despite having all documents correct and eligiblity for admission . The process is slow and takes a lot time , nearly a day .

Interview Experience

3.5

There is no group discussion. Instead there is a entrance exams for admission. The process includes clearing cutoff marks in JEE MAINS exam and +2 board marks . If the exam is cleared we can appear for counseling and select the colleges prefered. According to the choices filled and marks obtained, the counselling board alots the college to a student. The student has to book a slot by paying some amount to the counselling board and some to the college allotted . I prepared for JEE MAINS from personal prepration and coaching required to clear the entrance exam using prefered material ( books ) for the exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.
