4.5

College provides us hands on experiences on the subjects such as Algorithms and programming fundamentals which is quite good . A relevant curriculum should align with the current needs and according to the trends of the country. A comprehensive curriculum should cover subjects essentials to the field of engineering such as mathematics, fundamentals of computer science, electronics and mechanics etc. A hands-on experience should be must to work on the real-world projects. Technology integration should be must for the students equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills. Are of improvements are update content regularly, enhance practical researches, incorporate interdisciplinary perspectives, soft-skills development, Student engagement. The frequency and times of exams are as same as the all universities took mid-semesters and final exams are taken at the end of semesters and the difficulty level of exams are average, if you really study well, you will score a good marks/CGPA .

My plans after getting the degree, I want to explore the opportunities in the field of software development and emerging with technologies in my career.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete cost of my course is 44,700 INR including tution fees which is about to 35,000 INR and the additional fees such as registration fees, examinaton fees, development fund as per the semester. Tution fees covers the costs of instruction for your B.tech program in CSE. This can vary depending on the factors such as the student's residency status. University provides scholarship based on their academic achievements, including performance in entrance exams. 5% Students also gets the benefit of the TFW based scholarship which surely helps you in your financial assistance. IKGPTU provides campus employement oppportunities for students seeking part-time work during their studies. The university allows students to work part-time in various departments within the unib=versity while maintaining the academic works. Students can gain valuable skills and experience that compliment their academic studies.

Admission

The Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a board recognised by Central/State Government and the mandatory courses such as Physics/Mathematics. For this specific college, there is a own website of their college is (www.ptu.ac.in) . All informations ia available on this website regarding application process. I got admission here with the help of Online counselling. Reservation benefits only for the SC/ST's and not for General and OBC's student but there is a TFW based scholarship is available. It is only for the 5% students. It's a scholarship for the students obtained a good percentage in 10+2 examination. For frequency and timing of exams, it's common for universities to have mid-term exams during the semester, and final exams at the end of each semester and year and the difficulty level of the exams is average. Improvement areas for the admission process include enhancing transparency, merit-based selections, strengthning patnerships to attract qualified students.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

The fees for that course is varies from 5 to 6 lakhs per year and also there is a demand of 30k is as a token for seat booking which was quite high according to my financial conditions . So, I take admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
