Review about IKGPTU UNIVERSITY

I'm a student of computer science so course curriculum is according to aicte board. Teachers are also helpful and friendly with students. Course curriculum you can check in website also you can check details from there. The syllabus is not updated just previous engineering syllabus it is. All Faculty is PhD here and great faculty members.

I don't have knowledge about that internships and don't know the criteria. But during the placement drive companies visited and select students . Off campus placement details are also given by the university for their students that really helpful for them.

For placement 6th sem students are also eligible but it's on company criteria also. Most probably 7th sem students are eligible for placement interview. Average package is 4lpa. If you have skills and have projects you can selected. Highest package is around 20-21 lpa. Some students have plan to do masters after btech so I can't tell the approximate ratio of students getting placed.

Fees structure is also given on ptu website : Fee structure for 2023-24 is like Tution fee: 35000 Security:8000(one time only) Exam fee:1500 URF:1700 Total 1st sem fee = 49,900 2nd sem fee= 46,200 As according to ptu fee structure pdf. Scholarships are 1. Merit cum scholarship students who score good marks in 12th get a scholarship. 2. PMS for sc/st students 3. Scholarship for Bihar students under Bihar scholarship scheme. Loan facility is also available

Overall experience is great here. Fests like youth fest is organised every year. Social life is also good here. Library is large a lots of books are there. Main attraction of ptu is its library. Cc- computer centre where we can use computer and do computer work Facilities and technology is well good ... maximum classes have projectors . Teachers use projector to give better understanding to students. Classes are fully AC. So facilities are excellent here.

Admission process is like- two ways one is direct and other is through counselling You can get a direct admission just visit main campus Kapurthala. Through counselling you can get tution fee waiver if your family annual income criteria is satisfied according to their rules. Eligibility criteria is 50% in 12th pass in year 2022 currently I can't say anything. Yes there are reservation benefits for Punjab students like PMS scholarship for sc/st students their fees for four year will be paid by government. Ptu exams are sometimes easy and many questions are repeated from previous question papers so difficulty level of paper is moderate.
