The friends I made which are lile family to me amd also the campus is full of greenery which gives a very refreshing vibe
The overall infrastructure of the campus
The new hostels for both girls and boys.

Dislikes

The amount of snakes and scorpios in tha campus which are very damgerous related to health
The negligibilty of some professors regarding regular classes
The strict criteria of 75% attendance which most couldnt follow

Course Curriculum Overview

My course which I opted that is Btech in Artifical Intelligence have a huge scope in todays world which made me choose this branch with all my courage and heart. However there is room for improvement in terms of lab hours

Class Size: 44Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My overall fees in complete Btech in AI for 4 years include hotel fees , mess fees , institue fees which could be approxinately around 10 lakhs. There is some flexinilty for fees for studemts with reservations like ST amd SC

My overall campus life of 1.5 years till now has been a complete a roller coaster with all sorts of experience . In terms of social aspects , it was easty for me to talk to people since everyboy were friemdly and . When it comes to club involvelment i got selected in the dance club of the college since dance has been my passion since childhood

Admission

I had cleared jee mains exam in my 12th grade in order to get into NITK I had reservation under DASA scheme under which we have to complete our 11th and 12th grade from outside india or hav citizenship of amother country I had studied very hard to be able clear jee mains exam . Also we had a gap of just 10 day between our board exams and first attepmt of jee mains exam which made it very difficult to completely shift our focus on just the mains exam since the perparation required for board exams is very different as compared to that of jee mains exam as board exams involve a lot of subjevtive and explanaotry problems whereas jee mains exam required more of logical thinking and the ability to solve difficult numericals in the least amount of time since mains have a very limited amount of time period that is 3 hours and to be able to solve the questions and rhe overall paper in a very effe tive way so that u complete the paper on time is a very important factor which ultimately decides

Placement Experience:

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.

This college is one of the top engineering college in india ,even top than many IITs etc. ,this college is at very decent nirf anking,naturally location is also very beautiful, the branch i wantes to take has nice average placement in this college, this college have its private beach. Other collleges are also good i filled my preference choices according to my rank i got this college . this college was at my second choice place and i got this in my last councelling round . I am so grateful to destiny and my hardwork ,support of parents and teachers. On my first preference order NIT Trichy was there as my branch has good past academics and placements. I got NITRourkela tilll 5th round of josaa . And in final round I got NITK and I locked it as i only wanted to take it. I got rejected by NITT becouse of may be my rank . as others were deserving that more than me. Admission in college is the last step to get into the college.these engineering colleges are taking admissions through the exam named JEE Mains and Advanced.The eligibility for this exam is the student who is studying in class 12th or till 2 yrs dropper can give exam with subjects taken PCM or PCMB in +1 /+2.they have to clear the CBT based exam and than cutoffs comes and colleges are taking students by councelling process. The JEE Mains exam is for 3 hours and Advanced is for 6 hours with parts of two 3-3 hours in paper-1 and 2 .Cutoffs for general in mains for year 2025 was 93 percentile ....Read More

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More
