Is BIT MESRA a good college?

The course of Electronics and Communication Engineering in BIT mesra is research based . The course encourages higher studies like master's and PhD . The course is updated every year with keeping an eye for the electronic sector. Doubt sessions and questions solving sessions should be held much more than usual to clear student's doubts. Exams are held every month and the semester is 4 months long which should be increased to 6 months and also the exams are comparatively easy.

Big companies like Nvidia, Atlassian provide good internship opportunities to students of Bachelor's in technology. Research based internships can also be availed in big institutions like IIT with good stripends .

From the third year itself students are eligible for internship opportunities by the many companies like Microsoft, Nvidia, Intel , Samsung and other big companies comes to the campus with many job opportunities and takes around 10 students each . Highest package offered was 83 lakhs per annum and the average package is 13 lakhs per annum with a placement percentage more than 90% . Personally I am going to opt masters in technology after pursuing bachelor's in technology.

Tution fees increases every year by 10% which I think is ok considering the current inflation rate . Overall cost of Bachelor in technology in BIT mesra is approximately 16 lakhs including hostel and mess charges . Scholarship like GP BIRLA scholarship provide 25-50% tution fees waiver. There are also many scholarships available for category students. Campus employment includes posts in college clubs mat it be cultural or technical. Personally I am in Robotics clubs as an associate. Many big corporations come to the college to take students as interns with high paying stripends and also ending up in permanent job in the companies.

There are 3 main campus fests in BIT mesra one cultural one technical and the last sports fest . There are also many club events which happens very often . Library in BIT mesra is very big and provides books on every subject may it be course related or journals. Classrooms are equipped with a big screen board and also black boards with sufficient benches which are good quality with ample amount of lights , fans and air conditioners. Sports opportunities are also very good with many sports facilities like football, cricket , badminton, basketball and many other grounds ,they also provide gym facilities. Many clubs are present in BIT mesra both technical and cultural which are funded by the college itself. The clubs enhances students networking which then helps in much more job opportunities.

The college provides hostel and mess facilities in the campus itself. Though the rooms are small they are ample for one student. Meals are provided 4 times a day with good quality food and the menu is also diverse. Rent or pg can also be opted by taking permission from college many pg and rented homes are available just outside the campus gate .

BIT mesra takes admission on the basis of JEE main score . For Electronics and Communication the cutoff was 45000 air. Jee mains happens every year with 2 attempts each student. JEE mains are particularly difficult as compared to boards. Online seat reservations should be opted as it is hard for students living in other states to be present on the very next day for seat reservation.
