Remarks

I seriously believe that placements are one of the best thing about this college

Entrance Preview

I took JEE mains exam and scored 91 on that exam which helps me to get entrance in this college note, not just mains score matters +2 marks are important if you've fewer marks you won't be able to get your desired stream

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I'm a student of electronics and communication engineering. for the first year all the course of all the stream were same and from second-year, the main course of that stream starts all the teachers are all professional and very helpful especially TPP placement program is very good

Internships Opportunities

Yes college do provide internship, even international internship for many students I'm many countries stipends are good and students get too many things to learn from them

Placement Experience

5

one of the best thing about this college is its placement because we have placement classes from our 3rd semester and teachers work hard , we have our amcat exam and on the basis of that exam we sit on our placement drivers , big companies like Google and Amazon were part of last year's placement drive and the highest package was 32 lakh p.a.

College Events

5

One of the biggest festivals of CGC is Parivartan it is a 2-day fest in which lots events take places both technical and nontechnical many celebrities come in this fest and everyone enjoys it, probably one of the best college fests in Chandigarh. many other events like radio day, technology days are celebrated in this college. its like fest every month in this college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible, in engineering first-semester fee is INR 46000 and rest year INR 43000 and hostel fee differs in each hostel there is less fee for scholarship eligible students and there are very less extra charges for anything in this college, I feel that anyone can afford to study here.

Fees and Financial Aid

there are scholarships for toppers they even get laptops for securing good marks in university level, scholarship for reserved category is also there and for Jammu Kashmir students too

Campus Life

4

Campus life is amazing girls to boys ratio is also like every college, this college has ZERO ragging environment and students support each other students from all over the India study here still no one complains about any discrimination. in my view anyone can afford this college

Hostel Facilities

4

there are 5 boys hostels 1 with fully A.C facility and one girl's hostel food I above average but mess in charge always does their best on providing best food to students there are 4,2,1 bedrooms with all the daily needs like cooler to hot water separate hostels for each year.

Alumni/Alumna

My Seniors were very helpful and now being senior I seriously believe that helping each other is that key to best college life

Exam Structure

The Pressure of exam is all that depends upon you if you'll study every day at least 2 hours there will not be any stress for you but if you'll leave it for last you won't be able to secure good marks, study pressure is less, labs are safe and all the safeties are always taken

Admission

My school math recommend my for this college he is one of the passed out if this college. I came to CGC campus with my teacher from here i went to admission block where all procedures occued for the placement , admission staffs are very humble and respectful

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very helpful teachers are always there to help for you they always do best for you, teachers are very well educated and professional and their concept is easy to understand HOD offers special classes expert classes for students every sem there is a professional teacher to teach you.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
