Remarks

I think college is quite good. If you are looking for Computer science engineering, then don't think much. Come to Chandigarh University. You won't be disappointed.

Entrance Preview

There was no as such entrance test when I took admission but nowadays they have their own entrance test CUSAT. It requires basic knowledge and not very difficult to crack.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I would say that the syllabus of courses is really enriched. It is decided by intellectuals team and the subjects are similar to what students are taught in IIT's. From the first semester to the last semester, subjects are chosen very wisely according to the caliber of students.

Internships Opportunities

Don't know about internship but they do provide scholarships. If you perform well in CUSAT. There are scholarships worth 100% if you perform well.

Placement Experience

4

Placements of this university is quite impressive than other universities. Top IT companies come here regularly every year and select best of the students with good packages. This year the highest package offered was 30 lakhs per anum. Computer science students get the best placements.

College Events

4

There are so many events celebrated in college regularly. Technical fests are organized and students show their skills in various fields of science. The cultural fest is also organized every year. In cultural fest, many activities are there for students to participate. Students can show their talent in front of everyone. It is fair and many rides for students to enjoy. Many celebrities have come for their movie promotions as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well, fees for my batch is 60,000 per semester and for the whole degree i.e 8 semesters it is 2,40,000. But every year they are increasing there fees. If you want to take admission now. I think it would be around 80,000 per semester for cse. There is one more branch in B.e-Cse. Which is known as Cse-Hons. Fees for this branch is 96,000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

They do provide scholarships. If you perform well in CUSAT. There are scholarships worth 100 %, if you perform well.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is great. The campus is quite open and big. Students often play various games like basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, cricket in the campus. Students are not only from all over India but students from abroad are also there. So there is a lot of diversity of students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are okay to live in. It's mainly 4 seater rooms. The fees for my batch is 70,000 per anum. Right now fees is around 80,000 per anum. Mess food is also decent. They provide food 3 times. Breakfast, lunch, Snacks and dinner. They also provide non Vegetarian food on Wednesdays and for vegetarian students, there is an option for paneer on that day.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they do help if you ask for help from them. They regularly organize various workshops for students and they do share their experience about placements.

Exam Structure

Exams structure us quite okay. It's not that hectic. Every semester there are two mid-semester before final. The internal marks are 40 and are decided by mid-semester and surprise tests and other assignments. The final exam is of 60 marks. Student need to pass overall, it means by combining marks of internal and external.

Admission

I went there to know the courses and all. Then when i was sure to take admission. I went there and came to know that we have to register and book our seat by paying 10,000. I reserved my seat. After few days when session was about to start I paid the whole fees. The registration fees that we pay in beginning is refundable if you decide to not join the session.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of freshers and the first year is not that well experienced but still they are good at their work. Whereas faculty of seniors are really good and have a good knowledge about their subjects. Teachers are well experienced and good in their respective field.
