Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is updated and really good for the students. It helps them to increase their knowledge and also focus on their goal. It makes them believe they have the potential and exam structure is burden free.

Placement Experience

The college offers arrangement help to the students for looking for the best employment in the business. Alongside that, the college also gives preparing and profession direction administrations to shape the vocation of understudies by building up their characters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The expense structure of the school is very reasonable and practical, I feel. It's prudent. The charges are Rs 30,000 for each annum which makes it to Rs 150,000 on aggregate for a time of five years which isn't over the top expensive

Campus Life

Techincal fest - Instruo. Several colleges participate from all over India with a number of inter college competitions. The fest is organised by the students and for the students. Cultural fest- Rebeca, A 4 day fest filled with fun and frolic, host and guest performances, participation from various colleges.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is offered for the College students separately for boys and girls to revitalize their energies. The college provides a homely environment to give students a comfortable stay. Hostels have a hygienic mess to provide nutritious food to the students. The college admires the feeling of every parent and provide a secure environment in the hostel.

Admission

I appeared the NATA entrance exam and I score good result and also I had good results in my 12th class, for which my application for admission got selected and I got the admission here in this college without any difficulty.

Faculty

The school has an incredibly dedicated work force. The school gives a conventional extent of all around arranged and extraordinarily showed representatives who are all around outfitted with the front line advancement. The instructors similarly put in a lot of tries to adjust the subject into the understudies mind. The teachers are pleasing and are open every one of the a chance to help the understudies.

PEC - History and optimism

Likes

The campus is over 100 years old and has strong alumini network.
Placements are good as per my rank in JEE
Peer group is good and there are diversed people all around

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really old; but then again legacy comes at a cost.
Campus is smaller as compared to NITs and IITs ; so is the funding
Its still not an institute of national importance. Has no nation wide recognition

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Likes

Syllabus is good, it is very versatile and updated according to the industry standards
The University also has a good events and also a good night life
The infrastructure is very modern with unique outlets to eat in

Dislikes

There is a uniform system which is very bad according to university
Very strict rules regarding in and out of the University
The outlets in university are quite expensive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read

Attendance strictness is there so you have to be carefull
Rigid marking scheme so studying is constantly important

The course is relevant and provides vast legal knowledge covering various course sources by creating a compilation of various sources into one. The curriculum prepares you to be pre prepared when doing a task to master it and frequent exams in different forms happen

Likes

Good facilities, really teaches student and give individual attention in class too
Good infrastructure , as it was just built in 2021, the infrastructure is top notch and no complaints about it.
Papers are being checked anonymously, one’s paper can be checked by any teacher in any campus, so no chance of partiality

Dislikes

80% strict attendance criteria other they would not allow to sit in exam
Passing criteria is 40% and grading system is also bery difficult, two D grade is 1 F and more than 2F could lead to year repeat year, not even semster
Alot of assigments, really hectic at times

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Remarks:

There are very limited art college in india and GCA Chandigarh is 1 of them. I opted for printmaking because I wanted to explore different mediums of expression. The college is well equipped with faculty experienced in their own particular mediums aswell as exploring new mediums. You will get the freedom to build you creativity.
