My experience at VIT Pune

I choose the school because computer science is the growing field in the current industry and job market is very much growing here. The course is align with industry and we got to know much about the current technological advancement. There are exams wise the semester and are very easy to pass and if one study regularly one can score good marks in it. There are some suggestions that improvements one can go like there can be new teaching methods to teach new technology to the new undergraduates.

There are various numerous internship opportunities provided by the college placement cell in their third year. The internship provided give us and on experience in the industry and thus lead us in to the placement. One can easily get a minimum stipend of 10000 a month. Companies that came for the internship are Wipro TCS DRDO etc

The college is having very great placement every year and the number of students placed every year increases by some two percent. There are around 500 + companies visiting around the campus every year and giving 1500 + of offers every year. Average package last year was 11 lakh for the computer science branch and the oral package for the college was 7.3 lakh. The highest package till now is 51 lakh given by Microsoft. I plan to go for my placement after my degree.

The fee structure is very high and one could not easily pay the fees. The fees for the total course is 8 lakh and one can go for loan or scholarship provided by the private or institution along with the colleges. There are numerous scholarships provided by Castrol or Wipro or cummins for girls and boys or both that provide education free of cost. There is huge employment possibility by the campus has the TPO cell is always there for us to provide good placement last year there was nice placement about 96% overall for the last batch. But the total ROI ratio is very less it can be done low to give high yield.

There are various non cultural and cultural activities going in an around the campus. Where is mega face Visheakrandak that happens every year in the month of February. There is college library that provide was number of books and generals to the students for their research and teaching purpose. All classrooms are acute with projectors and are with modern PC there for no hamper in academics. There are also various sports activities going around the campus and every month there is some sports activities going around. There is entrepreneurship development club provided by the college to give rise in entrepreneurship among the student.

The hostel facility is not very nice and the food quality is very low. The registration process for hostel is started at the start of the semester and you must be present for the booking. The food quality is not very good but is very sufficient for living and also they don't provide lunch. They provide us fan table chair and cupboard for our room.

The admission process was very smooth and was conducted by the MHT- CET cell. You need to have minimum 75% in boards to have the seat. The exam is conducted by CET cell and the dates for exam are released every year in the month of February. The cutoff are very high for vit cse like 99%. The exam are held once a year in the month of May. The exam syllabus is whole 11th and 12th and the difficulty level is low. You get OBC reservation if income below 8 lakh income. The admission process is tedious and need to be good in terms of document verification.
