Likes

Cleanliness of washroom for girls is good. As girls pay more attention towards the hygiene so it is good it that way. There are 5 washrooms in all. In each floors and the helpers clean it every day. So it is nice.
The classes and the way of teaching is good as projectors and ppts is used to teach the students. The class infrastructure is good every student get the pc to learn the commands and all the semester subjects

Dislikes

The canteen infrastructure is not good and the interior also. Most of the things r less in quantity then the prices so it is not a good thing
The college sports park is only allowed to play and not to sit if it is winter's for the others.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this course as im interested in computer applications and nowadays everything is computerized so it is better to have a knowledge of it. 1:10 Btech, mtech,m.phil,bca,MCA n all 10 days and 40% in every subject

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Don't know about the fees hike policy, but the cost to study the whole course is about 1.5lakh. Scholarship is provided on the basis of marks above 60% in per year no job n financial assistance is gain till now.

Campus Life

In the month of February itech fiesta is conducted for the computer science students different activities is there to take part n gain your skills. Sports activities n there competition r also conducted. Availability of books in library is also there.

Admission

Eligibility of the course:- 50% in 12th class. Application form:- dhe.chd.gov.in website for the information. Reservation benefits:- 10% for mathematics in 12th class. Improvement:- no other improvement is required.

DAV College Chandigarh – Strong Academics, Good Location, and Engaging Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BCA curriculum at DAV College follows Panjab University’s syllabus, which was one of the reasons I chose this course, as it covers core computer science subjects along with practical lab work. It provides a good foundation in programming, databases, and networking, preparing students for both higher studies like MCA/MBA and entry-level IT jobs. However, the syllabus is slightly outdated and could be improved by adding more industry-relevant topics like cloud computing, AI/ML, and modern web frameworks. GGDSD COLLEGE FROM STUDENTS PERSEPECTIVE

Placement Experience:

Placement cell of out college is quite good. Placemenr drive generally start at the beginning of 5th semsterbof every 3 year course. Companies like DELL, HDFC , ICICI BANK, ACCENTURE, DELLIOTE and many more came to provide employement. Highest package after UG is 10 lakhs offered by company to our college student.

I had a good experience in MCM

Placement Experience:

Students can attend placement seminars in their last year of graduation. There are mostly placement offers for the role of sales and marketing or chat-call executives. IT companies do visit also but very rarely and they only hire only 5 to 10 candidates. There are sometimes unpaid internship opportunities available too.

DAV college : 'Not everyone's cup of Tea'

Course Curriculum Overview:

BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree. For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job. BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

Sggs is alright, if you dont expect much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was interested in computers and didn't wanted to do arts, and i was underqualified for other streams. Every class has about 45 students, the number vary but not much. The faculty and teachers are helpful. There maybe some slacking by both sides here and there but its alright. The teaching mathod varies. If you know what youre doing the exams are not that hard to pass.

Excellent collage in chandigarh

Placement Experience:

Every year number of companies visit college to give student jobs. Well known companies visit in college like Google Amazon Tata Nike etc. In the last semester we are eligible for campus placement. The highest package was given by Amazon to one of the student of our college Was 2 crore per annum. The average package of our college was 20 lakh per annum. There are likely all the students Get placement. I had planned to become a software developer after my degree was completed
