What Students Say

Likes

The faculty to student ratio is high compared to other colleges.
The count of students is less but those who are present are close to each other and support each other.
The campus is easy to locate and is near to bus station and railway station.

Dislikes

We don't even have a campus of our own and our new campus is very far from complete.
The quality is upto par from what I expected.
The fees of the college and hostel is very high.

I believe I always have a mind for computer science which inspired me to take this course. Faculty-student ratio in our college is pretty high compared to other colleges. Faculty qualifications are good but I am not so fine with their teaching method. Exam timings are fine but are difficult.

Placement Experience

The students start getting placement opportunities from fourth year first semester (7th sem) the number of placements are less but those who are placed are in fine position. After degree I am looking to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study in our college is very high for the quality of education we are receiving and the college fee has been seeing high hikes for the last 3 years. And also I have not been receiving any kind of Scholarship, Financial Assistance or Job on campus with stipend.

Campus Life

We usually do not have any fests in our college unless it is freshers or farewell. We have a library in our college but with very few books. Classrooms have electronic boards. Sports are fine in our campus. We have many clubs in our college but they are not very active and the budget for those clubs is very low.

Hostel Facilities

We have only the basic needs in our room beds, chairs, tables and fan. The mess quality is very bad and the mess fee is very high same goes with the hostel fee aswell since the fees is very high for what we are getting. Hostel is a bit far from campus and in a school.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

I was always interested in the computer science. I joined through jee main marks. I think the admission process is fine. I didn't have any kind of reservation. Maybe the remainders for each round of councelling would be given.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Placement Experience:

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

PES has very good placement opportunities. Placements start from the 7th semester. Many multi-national companies come for campus recruitment. The highest package offered is 1.5 crore. The average package is around 9 to 11 lpa.

Unveiling the path to success: IIIT RAICHUR

The admissions procedure at IIIT raichur was really simple. I took an admission exam, and there were clear submission rules for the online application process. The cut-off points were clear and in line with the prerequisites for the course. The college website (iiitr.ac.in) made it easy to find information on the apllication form , csts, and deadlines , which streamlined the application process. Due to the well documented benefits of reservations , everyone who are apllicable was guaranteed equal oppurtunity. Although, the procedure proved effective, it may be made even more accessible with some tweaks. Maybe more guidance or help would be helpfull for the candidates as they navigate the application process.
