Entrance Preview
Jamia entrance test. I scored 45 marks out of 100. I was on waiting list. I belong to general category still got the admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is average I would suggest. The organic stream is still better. Few of the chemicals and instruments are not available but teachers will somehow make sure that you complete your research papers. All and all it is good to be in Jamia. It will be a good experience.
Internships Opportunities
It does. In fact, the Ph.D. courses pursued through Jamia Ph.D. entrance and interview clearance you will get the stipend. I am not very sure how much but yes you will get the stipend.
Placement Experience
Placement is there in Jamia. You get an average package of 3-4 lakhs in Jamia in science stream. But especially placement rate is higher for material branch students. But if I talk about commerce you get an average of 7-8 lakhs per annum package. The law faculty of Jamia is also very good.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have no exact idea about this one. But yes students get scholarships. In fact if you belong to a poor family you have schemes to get your fees refund by following some procedures and filling up some forms.
Hostel Facilities
I have not taken the hostel but the way friends describe it I feel its a wonderful experience. Mess facilities and the food is good. And the charges for hostel are not too much. Its 4800 per year for girls and its 2000 per month for the mess facilities and food.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are and alot. Shahrukh khan , Sourav gangly are our alumni. Rest about the seniors yes they are doing good in their life either in govt or private sectors they come and share their success stories.
Exam Structure
Labs are hectic but once you join the university you will get to know how chilled out it is teachers are liberal in labs. They give your proper breaks. In fact few teachers are so supportive that they give you snacks and meals in between the labs from their side.
Admission
I filled the form from jmi.coe.in. Then i gave the entrance exam. The score card was generated. Since i was in waiting list i waited for my admission and checked the site everyday. Then my name was there in admission list. I took all the required documents submitted them and paid the fee and got the admission.
Faculty
Faculty is highly experienced and qualified. But they do the hardwork if you are doing your part of the hardwork. They are supportive. We have proffessors who have atleast 20 years of experience. We have few young teachers who are full of energy and guide you in recent research works.
