Course Curriculum Overview

I have choose this course on my interest and more fascinated towards electronics.yeah,the faculty is excellent and provide more information to the students.Student ratio comes to nearly 4:1.the exams will be conducted based on academic schedule.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 144244 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internships are provided to the students of the nit calicut and it is beneficial to all the students.the projects are also informed to do in internship ,from it we get experience to face the company

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is reasonable to me it is around 1 lakh forty four thousand across the whole btech.I have also applied the scholarship for nsp.It will be more beneficial to me and campus placements are quite good

The life style is impressive and found more interesting people in nitc.the infrastructure might be one of the problem for nitc.The library is very good and we get all the books as we wish.classrooms are also good

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is some what good but not perfect just because of food ,sometimes it is good . Registration will take place for every month to recognise you.the menu is not much impressed to me didn't want to stay at rent

I got admission in NIT Calicut through jee entrance exam ,the cutoff comes to 496 st catogery rank.There will be beneficial for sc and st students .NIT Calicut secured 23 nirf ranking .I have selected electronics and communication engineering

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
