What Students Say

Likes

Campus and its facilities provided. Awesome.
Societies. They give a great exposure to work on your soft skills.
Faculties. They behave politely and are very well trained.

Dislikes

Morning classes. I prefer to work in the evening.
Fares that rickshaw drivers ask who are outside of the college.
In time is very early. I think it'd be more helpful if it were a bit late.

My course has a good future. Faculty:student ratio is good. Some of the faculties teach very nicely and some do not. The study material provided is well planned. Faculties are from top IITs. There are exams twice in a semester. They're easy to pass if you're studying on a daily basis.

Internships are really helpful. They help in improving the soft skills of a person. They also help in building confidence and personality. They can be a bit challenging sometimes but also memorable in the end.

Placement Experience

After 5th semester, we're eligible. JP Morgan, Accenture, Deloitte, De shaw, etc. Around 85% get placed. To have a stable life and have a good vacation twice a year. Focus on my personal and professional life simultaneously.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is typically high as compared to other colleges. But we're provided with all the facilities and opportunities. We make the full of our money paid. There are several scholarships too. College informs about them time to time.

Campus Life

Campus life is spectacular. There are events occurring every other day. Big events occur at the year end. Last year, Mohit Chauhan performed. Books are available in the library. You can get them issued anytime.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are well maintained. Wifi is available all over the campus. Meal quality is good and a menu is pre planned. Menu is decided taking feedback from everyone. All the hostel complaints are heard and action is taken immediately.

Hostel Fee: INR 200000 per year

Admission process was easy and smooth. Certain criteria such as required percentage and marks is applicable for the eligibility of the course. Application form, application fees and application dates are available on the official website of Thapar, i.e., webkiosk.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
