Likes

I always wanted to stay in different place from my native place and this place is awesome
Offers a lot of good courses and we will get to learn a lot
Unity in hostels and participating in various events

Dislikes

Mess Food in some days is a problem but we can eat outside
Weather isn’t that good.very cool in winter and very humid in summer
As lot of greenery is there a lot of bugs and mosquitoes

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is very good if u have intrest in theoretical maths or finance and quant side the course is tough but enjoyable for math lovers and the faculty are experienced scholars. This department also does good in placements and internships

Class Size: 83Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships in this college is also decent if we are good we will definitely get an intern and very good companions will come to hire interns like google Microsoft sprinklr and so on after internship we may also get PPO with a good salary

Placement Experience

As iitg is one of the top universities in this country it attracts many good companies and has good placements every year and they takes place in start of 4th year and has a decent average package this campus also provides internships to the students in 3rd year

The fee structure is available on iitg website and it is basically divided into tuition fee hostel fee hospitality fee and other few the scholarships are available u can get them by clearing some specific exams with eligibility conditions

Campus Life

This campus has lot of nature and greenery and infrastructure is very good in my hostel and library contains all types books which we can explore and coming to sports we have a lot of grounds pool and places for indoor games too and gyms are available in each hostel

Hostel Facilities

My hostel is the largest hostel here and it has good infrastructure the food here is decent and 2 members are allotted per room the hostel also contains canteen spots room gym common rom and extra facilities and all the members of hostel stay together and participate in many events like GC cultural events sextra

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

I have entered this institution by clearing two exams jee advanced and jee mains . JEE advanced is the followed up exam of jee mains and I got 665 rank in jee advanced and cleared mains easily.U can apply for both exams in respective websites found on google

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Placement Experience:

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

Placement Experience:

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements .So many number of companies visit here like big faang companies also like Google ,microsoft etc .No of offers vary every year.Highest package can go upto crores and average package is around 2500000.80% students get placed along with all other educational backgrounds .My plan is to start a startup

MY EXPERIENCE AS A FRESHER AT IITG

Placement Experience:

1. From the 6th semester students become eleigible for campus placements. 2. Big companies like McKinsey, Google, microsoft, adobe, amazon, flipkart, meesho, bcg, bain, tcs, have visited our campus this year and the offers made were around 164 during a span of 59 days. 3. Highest package was 2cr for an international offer 4. 50% 5. I wanna get a job, a high paying one.

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
