Greenery: campus is completely of greenery.it is so soothing to eyes
Freedom : freedom to speak,freedom to live on our legs,and campus helps to learn so many things
Cultural events: three day cultural fest ragam is most liked

Language problem: as I'm from Telangana, language barrier is most problematic
Difficulty of course: as syllabus is more number of classes are more
Wifi issue in hostel : internet is slow in hostels

Course Curriculum Overview

I've been interested in civil engineering from childhood.curriculam is good. For every 22 students there is one teacher .teachers are highly qualified from iits . review is 8/10.we have mid and end exam in terms of 4months .they are slightly difficult

Marathon projects are conducted they are based on student innovative thinking and reusing the things beneficial for everyone.internships with stipend of 10000 is offered. hardware and software projects are done

After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement , Amazon, microsoft, many more companies visit .in cse 100 percent of students get placed ,in all other branches almost 80 percent of students are placed

Fees structure is okay with everyone and based on caste and economical background the fees reduction is done .There are scholarships available like nsp,kotakkanya,crec trust scholarship .crec is based on the cgpa and nsp is for sc ,st students,kotak Kanya is for female students.And for Kerala sc there are laptops provided

Ragam and Tathva are annual tests in the college. Usually, ragam happens in March and tathva in november.ragam is cultural fest for 3 days and tathva is technical fest for 3 days. Nitc library is the biggest library and there are lots of books available.all amenities are provided in classes.sports are mostly conducted. nss,sns, civil and. Other associations are there

Hostel Facilities

Wifi,beds, cupboards ,study tables,water,mess are provided in hostels.mess is of less spicy and not matching taste .extra items for payment are also provided.33000 is the mess and hostel accommodation fees for one semester.before semester hostel room fees is asked to pay and 13000 for hostel accommodation and 20000 for mess .

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

The admission process is through the Jee mains exam and students must pass of 10th and 12th. Examination of the dates is published in Josaa, nta site. Students can apply for it as per dates. mostly two attempts of jee will be there, one in January and the other in March. Sc, st, Ews reservations are available

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
