I like the nature over here and the campus life is good
Good facilities like CCC(where we have computers) are provided for students to study
Our classes are good and sanitation is good in hostels

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is good .The teaching skills need to be improved.Faculty members need to give their best to the students.All faculty members did their p.h.d's from IIT's.We will be having one mid sem and one end sem within a span of 4 months.

Class Size: 49Course Fees: INR 29000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is based on the annual income of students family members.Financial assistance is good .They provide bank loans for needy students.All the minority category students can get the scholarships irrespective of their income.

Campus Life

We will be having 2 fests .1 tech fest and 1 annual fest.Tech fest is tathva and it will be conducted in October.Annual fest is ragam and it will be conducted in March.Academically also our college is good.All books are available in library.Sports are encouraged here very well.

Hostel Facilities

Some of the hostels are good and some do not meet expectations.The same thing we feel with meals also.We are provided with a study table and shelves in our hostel rooms.We need to register the hostel we want and it is done after physical reporting.

Hostel Fee: INR 66120 per year

Admission

Admission was given based on the entrance exam jée mains. For the general category students cut-off is around 12000(rank) in jee. For admission, we need to report physically and submit all the documents that they have asked for.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. A student's perspective

Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
