Likes

In the campus there will be a lot of trees I like it the most
I also like the infrastructure of the campus preferably amphitheater
I like my room in the hostel which has a great view

Dislikes

There will be a road in the campus named Rajpath it has too much of crow shit
I don’t like the bus facility in the campus there are only two buses which serve from boys hostel to the campus also they are fully crowded
I also don’t like the way to library initially it is good but now the way is closed and an alternate way is given

I wanted to study CSE but for my rank in jee mains, I only got ECE in NIT Calicut. But here in NIT Calicut ECE is good and the faculty are too. All the faculty are Ph.D. graduates from NITs, IITs, and IISCs. Many faculty teach us in slides. And we have one mid and end exam and it is not much difficult to pass that exam.

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees completely depend on the caste and the annual income of the family. There will be three parts one will be below one lakh and other will be one to 5 lakh and the other will be above the 5 lakh category. There will be many scholarships provided by government and private bodies. Also, the college provides some scholarships.

Campus Life

There will be Ragam and thathva two fests ragam is a cultural fest and thathva is a technical fest. We have a great library facility in which all kinds of books are available. classrooms are not air-conditioned but the classrooms are cool enough. There will be many sports facilities on the campus. Many clubs also serve students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is very good on campus and the maintenance is very good. Messes are ok but some improvement needs to be made in the quality of food. In my opinion, hostels are affordable only. Near this college no pgs are available near the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

Firstly I wrote my jee mains exam and got twelve thousand rank and I also wrote advance and I didn't qualify in it.I participated in josaa counciling and got admission into nit Calicut. I have a reservation and so I got a seat for that rank

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
