Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose mathematics and computing as I have interest in aiml and this is a very emerging field of engineering. The faculty are decent, in my first year, most of the faculties have moderate to high level of experience and they are helpful too. The curriculum is really vast and the speed at which it is finished is moderate. There are very less to no holidays during the semesters. Exams are really strict and are conducted on epads, and are thoroughly invigilated. Exams are moderately easy to pass but if you are not diciplined and attentive in class it is tough to pass. The attendance is also very strict and should be a minimum of 75%. Teaching methods are advanced as a recording of every lecture is available to students though impartus.Exams are conducted timely.Faculty to student ratio is good.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I am in 1st year so I haven't done any internship so no comments. But students have ample internship oppurtunities for internships. Companies come at campus for internship oppurtunties. Also PPO's are granted to the students based on their performance.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are eligible for placements from 7th semesters. The placements are good. All the top companies like amazon, microsoft, oracle ,adobe,TCS, Infosys,Tata, Forbes Marshell, JP Morgan etc. come for recruitment Highest Package is around 60 lakhs, average is around 12-16 lakh. around all the students who sit gets places (90%). My plans are to persue MBA abroad after 1-2 years of working in India.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is fixed as per the branches and the hostel's fees combined. Cost of study varies around 18-23 lakhs. Hostel fees are from 1 lakh to 2 lakhs. Cost of Acedemic fees is 3-4 lakhs. I haven't got any scholarship or financial assistance.

Campus Life

5

The college is very happening. The clubs are very active and there is a competition in everything. Tech fests and annual fests are grand and is enjoyable. The tech fest is called tech-tatva which is held in the month of october, and cultural fest is called revels held in the month of march. Library is filled with resourcefull books and complete all the needs. Classrooms are well equiped and lecture halls are great and comfortable. Music/jamming room is to be build by dec 2025. There are plenty of places for sports, from marena (a indore sports complex) to the mit ground. Tournaments are held frequently. Some of the clubs run by students are, chords and co. (music club), IEEE (tech club), ISTE (tech club), MIST , MOSS, IESCE, IASTE, Formula manipal, Team manipal racing etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostels are alloted as per the gpa and also cost is a big factor. Non ac rooms are from 1-1.5 lakhs, Ac rooms are from 1.5-2 lakhs. Food quality is decent and there are co-ed mess. You can always change the mess if you want to without a charge. Hostels are costly and there are almost no accomodation for the 4th years. There is a registration portal for the same and you can choose your roomate and the combine gpa will be considered for the same.

Admission

I gave MET exam for entering into mit manipal. there were 2 attempts. I knew about this college through my neighbours and internet. You can find the application though the mit manipal website. The site is 'apply.manipal.edu'. All the details are updated on this site.I didn't receive any benefits, but you can get scholarships based on met rank and jee ranks too.The admission process was smooth but in the college the registration process is not good as there is very less people to guide you in manipal. The management in manipal is not that good. Though the examination process is also smooth.

the placement rate says 100% but you have to be maintaining 7.25 cgpa in order to sit for the placements and they are classified into 1) mass recruiters 2) dream companies3) superdream companies for which you will need 9 and above cgpa. i personally am dependent on placement or i also am appearing for the GATE entrance exam in my 3rd year as well as my 4th year and will see where life leads me but honestly i just want to start working and gaibn indstry experience and make money and develop skills faster

The courses are very nice since it is an autonomous college the courses have been designed to provide the students with knowledge of the latest technology and the need of the hour. Although the new subjects becomes a little difficult to understand sometimes at the end it's going to benefit us itself .

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements.
