Course curriculum is too hectic and it gets stressful
Lack of the ability to have a proper sleep schedule.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I like electrical engineering and I wanted to come study in New Delhi. So this was the best choice I think. Student faculty ratio is not very good, although I don't know the exact figure it's probably more than 20. Teaching is sub par and the exams are held almost once in three weeks per course.

Internships Opportunities

Jane street, google, Samsung and a lot of tech companies, then there are core companies for almost each branch. We have to complete certain projects to get into placements. For tech companies software projects are necessary

Placement Experience

Placements start from third year, however internships start in the second year itself. The highest package is around 4cr per year offered by quant companies (like Jane street). Around 60 percent students get placed in good companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are generally only available if you have availed benefits of reservation or if you are in the top rankings of either your branch or the institute (jee rank may also be considered). The fees is fixed and there is no price hike in tuition fee

Campus Life

The annual fest is rendezvous and it's conducted in odd semester (around October). The tech fest is tryst conducted in February. Plenty of good books in the library. Sports and extracurricular activities are also good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are worse than my expectations. The god does not taste great and the rooms are very small. However they are quite affordable considering that we are living in Delhi. Not many facilities are provided except reading room and playgrounds

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

Course is for four years. I got admission through jee advanced. The exam is in or around the month of may. Reservation was not availed by me. The exam is very well known, at least in urban India and one can apply through online portal for jee main.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Placement Experience:

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
