Likes

College is very strict about disciplines.
All the classes are taken every day according to the college routine.
Faculties are well qualified and have so much knowledge.

Dislikes

The main focus is on attendance. It's required of having atleast 75% attendance.
College campus is a bit small in comparison of some othe colleges.
Faculties are too strict about attending classes regularly..

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this college because the placement was really good at the time of my addmission (2021). Faculty members for CSE : 28-30 approx. All of Faculty members are very well qualified. Every exam even internals are taken under cctv serveillance.

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 93500 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is a bit disappointing this year (2024) obviously due to some proper reasons otherwise in other years it's very good. After 6th semester students are eligible for sitting in the placement exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees : Approx 4lakh for four years . It's very worthy to take admission in this college as the fees is less compared to other private engineering colleges also one can apply for the svmcm scholarship.

Campus Life

Total Book volume available in the Library:29, 195. There is also the facility of digital library. The I'd is given and using that one can easily access the e learning resources. But most importantly the behaviour of the librarian is to rude and she not cooperative at all.

Admission

Eligibility: The addmission process is going on the basis of two entrance exam either WBJEE or JEE MAIN.Approx a rank of 7k to 25k in WBJEE exam is needed to take admission in this college.The application form is available in the WBJEE portal sponsored by government of West Bengal. College review: The college is really very strict about disciplines. All the classes are taken timely according to the college routine. Some of the faculty members are very helpful and understanding ( others are .... iykuk).When we took addmission (2021) the placement provided was really appreciable but now (2024) it's not hitting upto the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190
