- Behaviour of the faculties and staffs, library facility, sports and other events, providing of study material, mentorship from teachers, practical labs, grooming of students for placement and enterpreneurship by conducting seminars with professionals
Dislikes
- Canteen facility as the foods are regular and tasteless, most of the time no food is available as the canteen are not informed about student attendance, the companies which are coming for placements are offering too much low salary and service bonds
Course Curriculum Overview
I did diploma in engineering and wanted to pursue higher study. Faculty:student ratio is abou 1:6 A person must have M.Tech to qualify as a faculty, some of the teachers are really good in knowledge and teaching, some are average but more or less almost every faculty is helpfull towards the students. Term Exams are conducted timely as per makaut schedule(once in a month), it is not so difficult to pass as the questions are common from previous years.
Internships Opportunities
IBM micro internship , Bosche mobility solutions, UBER, Reliance Brands Limited The durations are all about 6 months to one year, the packages are mostly 8 to 15 thousands per month. I have not did internship but went through a training on Solar PV modules.
Placement Experience
From 8th Semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Vikram Solar, Cube Construction, High tech next engineering etc have visited. The packages are about 2.5 to 3 LPA in average. Almost every student can be placed if they wanted to because many offers are from sales, back offices or telecomes but students from engineering filed mostly avoid them.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the year 2021, the year of my admission it was 22000 per semester, but it has now increased as per my knowledge, but the fees are ligther comparing to other colleges in Kolkata. Swami Vivekananda scholarship is a good opportunity for bearing the fees.
Campus Life
Annual sports, fests, technical and business seminars are conducted. Tech fests, coding competitions, gaming competitions are also observed mojorly during the even sem period(first half of the year) The library facility is really good, books of semester as well as the books of competitive exams like GATE is also available in there. The canteen facility should be improved.
Admission
Eligibilty- Higher Secondary in science or Diploma in engineering Contact to the number that is given in college website for application form, application fees and application dates. No reservation was applicable in my case.
