Good sports facility we can enjoy with the facilities of sports
Good faculty faculty are well experienced they teach good
Very pleasent environment far from city very pleasent environment around the campus

Dislikes

Hectic schedule schedule is hectic for the week days
No proper hospital facilities nearby and everything is not available nearby
Mess quality should be improved a lot however canteens are there

Course Curriculum Overview

I had interest in CSE course the faculty to student ratio is about one :20 . All faculty or well qualified and did their PhD in NIT and IIT. And the mid same exams are conducted for 2 months once. The faculty teaches good

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like Flipkart and Walmart visit the campus to provide pre placement offers and full time offers and a lot of chances are given for girls for their improvement they usually get a stipend for 1.1 lakh

Placement Experience

Students get qualified for placements from 6th semester companies like Flipkart Walmart and Accenture come for placements highest package is 1.2 crore and average package is 17.2 lpa and percentage of people placed is 94%

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no sudden fee hike. If any will be intimated in advance and cost to study here meet your expectations on the people who are from general category and OBC doesn't get any scholarship. Students from SC get scholarship only top 10 student . And all St students are eligible for full scholarship. All scholarship details can be obtained from my scholarship ship.gov.in

Campus Life

The fests like entropy and yuvaan conducted in the months of February and October and classrooms will be well maintained there are ground for cricket and football and basketball ball court there are groups for dance and music

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are provided with fan with washroom attached to every room meal quality is good and can be eaten there are also various food stalls accross the campus the hostel registration is done in accordance with campus registration

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

In order to get into this Institute one should write jee Mains and general should get 98.03and obc 97.6 sc 90.0 and for ece open 97.0 ,obc 96.5,sc 89 percentiles score . Institute is having good alumni

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to participate for Internship placements from 3rd year and FTE offer from 4th year starting. Overall the placements scenarios are pretty good considering it to be a NIT. The overall highest package goes to around 80 lac plus and the average package lies around 18 to 20 lac for CSE Department. The opportunities are great with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia coming for on campus opportunities providing agreat experience

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Review of the college in north east

This college has a good curriculum and also great for going to research side I preferred this over the others I applied because the others had no permanent campus and were very far from home moreover some do not have good research programs .I preferred this college over IIIT pune IIIT kota and vit which gave me a confirmed admission.i got rejected from a few colleges like mnit allahabad IIIT lucknow and IIIT Allahabad because I did not reach its cut off ranks .the admission process is quite simple in my college it is done through jossa councelling of jee .u can get admission through jee mains it is the most preferred exam by the students and for cse branch u have to get above 20000 rank and for ece above 430000 this is for general male...Read More
