Course Curriculum Overview
Cirrculum is bit tight as we have around 44hr/week of lect + lab . and exam are being held every 1/1.5 month in name of quizes 1 , mid sem, quizes 2, end sem. There is little bit of irregularities in lab as some semester haev 1 lab while other have 3 lab.
Internships Opportunities
Very little company comes to provide internship, so you have to do it yourself by seaching through linkedin and different portals. You can also go into the research intern under a professor in campus or off campus.
Placement Experience
Around 7 semester , our college palcement starts. I am not in placement cell so i imght no be able to give all companies name but i tekion come this year . Highest was around 72 lpa off campus and avg is around 13 lpa (for ece). around 50% of student get placed last year. I am planning to also doing Masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fee strucuture is nearly around 3.5 lakh and there are some scholarships but i dont know much about that. One of my friend (who is SC) gets scholarship via Govt. and its 100% the college fee .
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty fine as there many clubs and societies in which you can join to do something you are passionate about . Annual fest(Yuvaan) and technical fest(Entropy) is help every year. And since we are in Guwahti we can participate in IIT Guwahati sports fest .
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are pretty small. Mess is quite decent with little bit of irregularties in menu . Food taste quite good and on some special occasion we get to eat special food too. i think hostel is very much affordable
Admission
I think my main reason for choosing this college is for placement. I entered this college via JEE . For someone to enter, they have to clear the JEE first then clear cutoff for this college branch ehich is around 97 -98%ile for general.
Faculty
As i mentioned, Faculty is really helpful (especially about ECE Faculty) . They are very approachable in terms of academically and non academically too. Some of the best faculties that i like are My semiconductor prof.
Night Life
Night life is pretty good as we have one night cafe where you can purchase something on decent price Campus timing is around 10:30 pm but if u have permision you can enter the campus as late as possible. Its pretty safe execpt some insect or rodent might appear infront of you .
