Course Curriculum Overview
I chose civil engineering because my family belongs to civil engineering related background and i have been showing interest in the subject since my coaching days. The faculty to student ratio in the class is around 1:9. The course is on par with the current job market needs and the college management is constantly looking to improve the curriculum by taking the advice of the students. The exams are more of analytical based rather than theory based. Most of professors hold a PHD or a master degree over here.
Internships Opportunities
Students start getting internships through college or through personal connections. Some of them are paid internship and they usually receive about 10k as stipend per month. Sometimes it can get even higher. It all depends upon the skills acquired by the student
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to sit for campus placements from their third year onwards but most of them get their first job in their 7th and 8th sem. The placements are good compared to most colleges in India. The average stands at around 9LPA for all branches combined with computer related degrees getting higher packages. Majority of the students get placed or go for higher studies. Highest package stands at 54LPA offered by Microsoft currently
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is actually very high compared to other colleges as it is a private college. It costs around 20L minimum to get btech from manipal. There are many types of scholarships available here which the student can avail. There is even a merit and need based scholarship available. Many companies do visit the campus for placements from 5th semester onwards for your campus placements
Campus Life
The college conducts two fests every year. Techtatva and reveals. First one is the technical fest and the later one is cultural. Many students actively participate in the fests to make it a success. The student life over here is one of the best in the country. All the classrooms and library have centralized AC. There are many open grounds so the students can play whatever sport they are interested in and the college keeps renovating the infrastructure which gets old
Hostel Facilities
The hostel comes with many amenities such as attached bathroom,24 hours hot water availability, the hostel is fully powered by solar, AC availability is there. Lift facility is provided. Hostel registration takes place after your admission in the college in their hostel booking website. In the mess you get both veg and non veg and you are served food 4 times a day. The mess fee is quite reasonable and the taste is decent

The admission process takes places through the official college counselling portal. The counselling is based on the rank you get in manipal entrance test.
