Likes

I liked in the college is it is providing unlimited free Wifi
Central AC in the college which I liked in this campus
We can go outside untill 9:30 PM everyday which is enough to enjoy

Dislikes

Mess food is that good . repeats the same
There is no greennary in the college. Trees are less
No sports facilities available in the college

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chooses this course because it is the future (I thought). Faculty and student ratio is very less now there are recruiting faculty. The qualification of faculty were from IIT , Jadavpur University etc ... Exam are 2 per sem,

Internships Opportunities

In our college one of my senior got 2lakhs per month in Google as internship which is exciting to us.Most of the seniors are doing internships .As per now I am in 1st year couldn't no that much information.shared later.

Placement Experience

From 3rd sem students become eligible for campus placement. The offers made last year was 157 and major companies. Highest package is 120lpa and average is 17.5 for cse The percentage of students getting placements are 95percent

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of IIITG IS tution fees was very high 1,25,000. scholarship are available for only St and SC caste students not for ews, general category.Loans are available in Campus jobs are good in IIIT GUWAHATI

Campus Life

The fest are conducted here once In a year.there are 2fest one is cultural second is technical fest. Sports are planning to provide. Ther are many clubs to join and most of them are active participation

Hostel Facilities

The meal quality is good but not tasty. Only aloo curry and dal is served here. Hostel idls affordable. Per room there is accomodation of 2 students with attached bathroom. Room facilities are lights, cupboard, fans

Admission

I am student from general category. I got cse in my csab round.I got 24115 crl rank in jee mains.Admission process went smoothly.All the details of application were shared by college through gmails si it was good

Interview Experience

No there is no group discussion, interview.the only exam to get admission is that Jee mains . Prepare for that exam score well to get into this college . However all the students who opted for MPC will attend this jee mains exam

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

Review of the college in north east

This college has a good curriculum and also great for going to research side I preferred this over the others I applied because the others had no permanent campus and were very far from home moreover some do not have good research programs .I preferred this college over IIIT pune IIIT kota and vit which gave me a confirmed admission.i got rejected from a few colleges like mnit allahabad IIIT lucknow and IIIT Allahabad because I did not reach its cut off ranks .the admission process is quite simple in my college it is done through jossa councelling of jee .u can get admission through jee mains it is the most preferred exam by the students and for cse branch u have to get above 20000 rank and for ece above 430000 this is for general male...Read More
