Faculty teach very good they have a good experience
Very pleasent environment to roam evey where
All the things can be got transportation is quite easy

No hospital facility near by no doctors nearby
Mess food should be improved and canteen have good food

Course Curriculum Overview

I have an aim to get into these type of institutes the faculty and student ratio is 20:1 and all the teachers are well qualified and did their phds from iit and nits they teach good and mid semester exams are held 2 months once and end sem 4 months once

Internships Opportunities

Flipkart,Amazon and adventure and Microsoft come to hire the. Engineers here they usually provide a stipend of 1.1 lakh per month and more opportunities are given. To girls foe their empowerment they usually get hired at higher positions

Placement Experience

From 6 th semester students get ready for placements many companies visit like flipkart,Wal-Mart and Amazon and highest salary offered is 1.2 crore and median Sala ry is 15.5 lakh for all branches combined Almost 93% get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

There's no sudden fee hike and obc and ews get no fee waiver and sc and st get fee waiver upto 100 percent and specially for sc only top 10 get scholarship and general students will get no fee waiver

Campus Life

Entropy and yuvaan are celebrated in our college in the months of February and November and those are the grandest events conducted here and u will get the access to all the books in library and few other books the class rooms are maintained very good we have various sports like cricket, football,volleyball and badminton and other groups as dance and music

Hostel Facilities

Rooms have fans and study tables and washrooms for each room separately newly constructed rooms are very well maintained And meal quality is fine and can be eaten and registration for hostel is to be done along with college administration form

Admission

The entrance exam for iiitg is through jee mains the minimum percentile for getting a seat in cse is 98.2 percentile and ece is 95 percentile and for obc it's 97.5 and 95 percentile and almost same for ews for sc it's 90 and st it's 78 percentile

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to participate for Internship placements from 3rd year and FTE offer from 4th year starting. Overall the placements scenarios are pretty good considering it to be a NIT. The overall highest package goes to around 80 lac plus and the average package lies around 18 to 20 lac for CSE Department. The opportunities are great with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia coming for on campus opportunities providing agreat experience

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Review of the college in north east

This college has a good curriculum and also great for going to research side I preferred this over the others I applied because the others had no permanent campus and were very far from home moreover some do not have good research programs .I preferred this college over IIIT pune IIIT kota and vit which gave me a confirmed admission.i got rejected from a few colleges like mnit allahabad IIIT lucknow and IIIT Allahabad because I did not reach its cut off ranks .the admission process is quite simple in my college it is done through jossa councelling of jee .u can get admission through jee mains it is the most preferred exam by the students and for cse branch u have to get above 20000 rank and for ece above 430000 this is for general male...Read More
