Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

CCE is a combination of computer and some parts of communication (electronics). CCE is arguably better than IT offered at MIT.Faculty student ratio is good enough but cant judge in first year. Its one of the best in India.Term exam are announced before the academic year begins and they stick to the schedule.Exams are farely easy to pass. Most of the faculties have a doctorate and quality of teaching is good.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Many companies come for internships. Companies including microsoft come here. Companies usually offer Software engineer intern role. Many interns get PPO ( pre placement offer) and hence future gets secure before placement. But getting a internship through college placement cell is very hard

Placement Experience

4

Placement stats at MIT are good.Data is available till 2023 placement season. Students are eligible for placement from 6th sem and are eligible for internships from 4th sem. Average package for CSE branch was 18lpa,CCE 17lpa, IT 12 lpa (approx ). Highest package this year(2024) is 92 lpa according to some sources ( dont know for sure)

Fees and Financial Aid

I got a scholarship under AICTE reducing my fee to INR 7 lakhs for 4 years(originally it was 18.6lakhs) . MIT is only worth it if you get into the computer related branches only.Otherwise consider other colleges.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life at MIT is amazing. Annual tech fest is held in the odd semesters called tech tatva and the cultural fest is held in even sems in the month of March called Revels. The library is huge and open till 11pm, it has a wide array of books.Every class room is recorded and can be accessed via impartus. All classrooms and most labs are air conditioned. There are many clubs and student projects at MIT. student projects win prizes in international competitions. Manas is one of the student projects ( projectmanas.in ).Most of the international student organisation present at MIT.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facilities in the college is on par with international institutes. The cost for the hostel rooms are not high wrt the facilities provided. The mess food is one of the best you can get inside a college campus. I took a double attached non ac room which cost INR 123500 which includes mess and security deposit. Mess menu is very good and if you dont like it,you can order food inside the mess itself.

Admission

Application form can be found @apply.manipal.edu. The exam is quite easy compared to JEE. The level of qs are similar but competition not that high. Admission process is very smooth and transparent as compared to VIT admissions.Various scholarships can be availed as per MET(Manipal Entrance Test) rank.

The courses are very nice since it is an autonomous college the courses have been designed to provide the students with knowledge of the latest technology and the need of the hour. Although the new subjects becomes a little difficult to understand sometimes at the end it's going to benefit us itself .

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students.
