A True Glance at IITK

Based on my rank I was getting this branch and also I developed some interest in this branch too.Factuly to student ratio in lecture is 1:85 and in tutorials it is approx 1:40.Here faculties are highly qualified who did their studies from some reputed institutions across the globe.Also they are great researcher in thier respective field.Many exams are conducted in a semester.You will have some quiz or exam in almost every 7-10 days but they are not that difficult to pass.

Various internship opprortunities are provided to us in various domain and roles such as software developer, consultant, analyst (buisness and data) and various core internship are also offered.Also many PPOs are offered during internship itself. Stipend are not made public but most of the interns are paid in the rane of Rs50,000 - Rs 1,50,000 per month.

Since it is one of the most reputed institution of our country.So when it come to placements it performs far better than most of the colleges.Placements are offered to the students in their 7th semester but some students are offered PPOs during their internship.Last year a highest of 4 crore/yr was offered from a company named Jane steet.Average package mostly lies between 25-28 lac/yr.Many companies visits campus every year for placements like Microsoft, Google, Graviton, Sprinklr, Quadeye etc.This year in first phase of placement 984 offers were made with an average package of 26.04 lac/yr.I will also try my best to get a great job.

Fees per semester is approx Rs 1,15,000 apart from this you have to pay your mess bill which is approx Rs 2500 per month.But there is financial assistance based on your family income.If you family income is less than 1 lac/yr then you can get 100% wavier on tution fee which is Rs1,00,000 and if your family income lies between 1-5 lac/yr then you will get a 2/3 rd remission on tutuion fees.There are many startup opportunities here at the campus.

Campus life is too good here.You will have best four years of your life here. Annual cultural fest ANTRAGNI is conducted in the month of October and tech fest Techkriti is conducted in the month of March.All varities of books and journals are avaialble in the library.Classrooms are well equipped with air-conditioner and all types of other facilities.You can also pursue you sport interests here as all type of facilities are available here and various competitions are also held and a annual sports fest Udgosh is also conducted.Variuos technical clubs like programming club,electronics club,finance club etc and cultural clubs like dramatics,dance etc and literary socities like ELS,HSS are here to guide and teach all aspects of their domain.Overall you will have a great experience and you will learn a lot here during your stay.

You will get all basic facilities in your room like chair,cupboard,bed etc but you will not get AC in your room so there may be a bad summer for you:( but you can purchase cooler with your roomie which may provide some relief.Mess food is decent here taste and quality wise,there is student body in each hostel(we call it hall here) to keep check on this.You don't have to register for hostel is is included in your college registration and it is quite affordable and its fee is included in total fees which i mentioned earlier.It is compulsory for a student to stay in the hostel so ypu can't rent a room or PG.

There is an entrance exam named JEE Mains followed by JEE ADVANCED to get into this college.First you have to qualify jee mains which held twice a year in January and April then Jee Advanced is conducted in month of May and based on your rank in Jee Advanced you get admission into different IITs.
