A good and decent college overall. Located in suburban region in the holy city of Kurukshetra. Nearest cities. Chandigarh (2 hrs) Delhi (2.5 hrs) Ambala (45 mins)

Entrance Preview

Jee Mains / Jee Advanced. Admission is solely based on All India Rank. However, being a government college reservation is an issue which is deteriorating the system.

Course Curriculum Overview

Semester system and credit based evaluation. Out of 100 marks 50 marks are awarded internally and other 50 externally. Credits awarded to seminars and presentations as well.

Internships Opportunities

No,college doesn't provide internship as in private colleges. However, companies do visit the campus for providing internship.Average stipend is around 20k per month.

Placement Experience

Being a NIT placement here is decent. Almost everyone eligible for placement gets placed. Computer Engineering and Information Technology averages around 9lpa. ECE/EE/Mech-6.5 ka. Civil/PIE-5.5 ka.

Around 70k per semester for newer batch starting from 2016-2017 exclusive of mess fees which ranges around 4k to 4.5k per month.

Permanent faculty is good. All the permanent faculty are PhD holders and well experienced.However,Adhoc faculty is not up to the mark.They are gate qualified but lack experience.

A walk through Nit kurukshetra

I choose this college cause, I am interested in this branch and I don't have any prior interest in any particular colleges, in this college I am getting the particular branch I am interested in,while there are few colleges which are providing me same branch but they have some limitations like there infrastructure is bad or crowd is not that wonderful like here people are generous and motivated you can't find the same everywhere. Good college for electrical

The admission is only based on JEE Mains Rank. This is a decent college and thus requires decent ranks for good courses. JEE is conducted nationwide by the NTA every year. The process was smooth. You have to first select colleges. You get an allotment and then you verify the docs....Read More
