What Students Say

Likes

college campus is pretty large and decorated with plants and trees.
there are various student clubs to participate and grounds to play games
faculty members are quite helpful and have experience to guess question during exam

Dislikes

the campusing rate is only stable and maximum in Computer departments and not so much in other streams
the laboratories lack various instruments and those are present are even at good condition
the washrooms and toilets are not getting cleaned for days

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is of 4 years and the faculty members are quite good and helpful.They help the students to fetch good marks in their respective subject. Faculties do give suggestion before semester exam which is quite good and common questions comes from the suggestions.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees structure is around 3.5 lakh to 4 lakh depending on the course. CSE is the most demanding course of this institution.Various scholarships are available in this institution like SVMCM.Various student loan is also available in our institution and our staff members help the students to their fullest to avail the loan and scholarship facility.

Campus Life

The college campus is pretty large and there are various department buildings that are a little distance apart from each other. There is even a temple inside our college campus. Our campus has been decorated with various kinds of plants and trees . There are gardens on our campus. Department buildings are well-structured and painted

Admission

I went into the institution trough WBJEE rank. The admission process was not a trouble. I went got my stream into this institution trough wbjee counseling.The opening rank to get into CSE dept of this institution is around 50K.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
