BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

So , my course is CSE ( Computer science and Engineering). What can I say regarding this, I mean everyone know the value of this branch. So, I can tell about our cxam. We have 8 sem in CSE. So first 6th sem our papers are same as IT department. And also first 4 sem papers are sam as ECE department.

Firstly our college didn't get yearly fees, they asked semester fees, which was around 45,000. So you could say yearly I have to pay approx 90000 to my college. The college provide us SVMCM scholarship. Which was a govt scholarship, given by west bengal Government. In this, we can get 60000 per year.

Campus life is good. Security in the campus is very good. We have to maintain proper dress given by our college. We have our annual sports ATHLEKA in December. Our annual fest in March. And also celebrate our foundation day in September. We celebrate Biswakarma Puja and Saraswati Puja in college. There are mainly 4 clubs in our department. Robonix, Google Developer Group, Codevision, NSS .

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission.

The number of faculty members is good. But their knowledge level and experience are too bad. They also learn from youtube videos in free period. And thats thing disappointed us mostly. Yes, 1-2 teachers are very good. But our CSE HOD Sk.Abdul Rahim is worst them all. His knowledge level is littrely zero. Can't talk properly in English. Not having a proper degree needed in HOD level. Not completed M.tech properly. But the exam are very tough. The exam is conducted by MAKAUT formerly known as WBUT ( west bengal University of Technology). And no one interfare in this. And exam always connected as per proper timeline given to us.

So I am a daily scholar. So I didn't spend every night at college or hostel. But yes it was fun. There are 2 gyms in campus. One for boys and one for girls. But library is opened in only college time. Hostel timing and security is very strict for girls. And beleive many there are many places for fun and enyment in Durgapur.
