Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite diverse and well-updated as per the current scenario and industry trends. For the faculty, we have around 50 permanent and the rest visiting faculty. So the ratio may go around 1:10. The faculty is highly qualified and the teaching method is fairly good. The end exams are conducted every 3 months. Other than that a term consists of mid-terms, multiple quizzes per subject, class presentations, projects, and many more evaluation processes. Taking about the difficulty of the exams, if you have attended the classes well, then you are good to go.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes educational expenses and residential expenses. As the program is non-residential, the option of living outside the campus is available. For educational expenses, the fee goes around 20 lacks and if you want to opt for campus residence the hostel and mess fees go around 6 lakhs. What I found is that the fees for both education and residence is quite high compared to other colleges while IMI is just another private college. Talking about the Scholarship, the TWS Scheme is available for the EWS students, all the details of which are well-mentioned on the college website.
Campus Life
The college has two main annual fests Conventus and Kritiva which are conducted in September and February respectively. Apart from that several events keep on happening and other festivals are celebrated accordingly. There are 5 committees, 8 clubs, and 8 societies that also conduct their events regularly. There are plenty of books and journals available in the library with a Bloomberg terminal as well. The classrooms as well managed and accommodated with the latest equipment. For the Sports & extracurriculars TT, gully-cricket, Badminton, chess, and carom are liked by students.
Hostel Facilities
Talking about the hostel, facilities like cleaning rooms and washing machines are provided. The meal quality of the menu can be rated 7.5 from the hygienic perspective. Also, the menu keeps changing every day. But after having it continuously for some months, you will eventually feel bored of eating the same food. The hostel is quite expensive. And for the registration process, it is asked in the admission form itself. The allocation of the hostel depends upon the shortlist by the faculty. You can look for a room outside where Katwaria Sarai and Adchini serve as good options.
Admission
The admission process was very good. I had entered through XAT. The interview was based on my previous educational qualification as I was a fresher. The application form was available on the website itself with the fee of Rs.2200 and application dates remain open till January end. The cut usually goes above the 83 to 85 percentile. The admission process was fairly well-managed with pre-dates allocated to the interviews.
Interview Experience
Usually, the process consists of an essay writing round followed by an interview round. For essay writing preparing for the current ongoing situation is advised. The personal interview is based on the person's work experience or previous education qualification. The batch selection criteria are purely the admission office's decision. To prepare for the interview, I went through all my undergraduation concepts and kept myself well aware of the current trends.
