I undertook CAT exam in 2012 and scored 95 percentile. IMI delhi is well known institute for the esteemed and industry recognised faculty in marketing stream which made me decide over the college in my score range.
Course Curriculum Overview
I studied PGDM in marketing . The course provided majorly all the necessary electives which could be used in work profile with a lot of guest lectures and industrial visits. All the interactions with the current industry helped in understanding practical application of the theory studied in classroom structure.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, there is placement process for internship for the first year students. Average range is 10,000 k per month . Internship duration is usually for 2 months which can extend to 15-20 days more.
Placement Experience
Placements for the 2013-15 batch were decent and shown a 15% hike in the average offers of the students. Average placement for PGDM students was 9 LPA and PGDM-HR was 7 LPA. Highest package being - 18 LPA and lowest being 7LPA. A lot of startups participated in the placement process. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Snapdeal, Bata, Emami, ITC hotels and many more visited the campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college fees was 12 Lacs plus hostel and mess fees which in total made it 14.5 lacs for the whole course. The college was a little higher on the fees side . Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network of the college is good because of the yearly National alumni meets which increases interactions between the batches . Also the seniors have been really helpful in providing insights during the placement process/ internship process . Different festival, cultural fest celebrations also helped increase the bonding between junior / senior batches.
Admission
There was an admission process conducted in mumbai for this college. First round was essay writing about a current topic , followed by personality assessment and finally by a personal interview by the faculty . There was no Group discussion . The candidate was ranked on all the above parameters along with the score of CAT and previous profile and then made a call if converted.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is the primary selling point of it. They are really good, knowledgeable and qualified. They always motivate to apply the classroom knowledge for practical applications. Teaching methods included case studies discussions, industry visits, interactions with industry experts and lot of assignments for checking the practical application.
