Course Curriculum Overview

I have choosen BTECH IN Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and this course curriculum is very much good .The student ratio is 50:1,the faculty is well qualified and their teaching method is very good and helpful,the exam was really nice and according to the thing taught in class.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience

Earlier the students got eligible from 6th semester for campus placements but now due to recession it has increased to 7th sem the notable companies include cognizant infosys mindtree nomura p360 .the average package is 5lakh

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study was accordingly as a engineering course should have and its fair enough as its a 4 year course ,however the fee structure has hiked a bit now according to market but there are many scholarships such as SVMCM which is helpful enough

Campus Life

The life in campus is very good enough,we have annual tech fest and interesting seminars .The library in our college is fulled with books and most of the books are available .In our college we have interdepartmental football,cricket competitions .

Admission

The admission process was smooth enough,I have given the JEE entrance exam and WBJEE exam and was selected based on WBJEE rank 7185,The application form can be found in the wbjee website and we can also opt for college website ,the admission process is very much good

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

There are good placements but the placements are not up to mark. All comanies are not highly interested in hiring Specially Civil Engineering. Company should give better offers to students of NITs also.. lower packages are not accepatable

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190
